Well done sjmidd. I didn't realise this thread had become a reveal of sorts. We became twins this week as I got a printed bays too!

The lovely thing on the forum is that whether you got the bag from a friend, pre-loved or brand new your reveals get the same respect and attention from the members. An ostrich bays can get the same amount of oohs and ahhs as a keyring. And it's sincere.

I haven't used Mulberrymad yet but so many well known and discerning posters are praising her that I wouldn't hesitate. I agree though with some of the posters who wish it could all be discussed a bit more on the forum. I often wondered what their tpf identities are. Perhaps however it's more curiosity than any right to know. Personally I'd pay the extra from a trusted seller for both the guarantee and the bag getting a professional valet!!

A lot of Korzinka's posts I have agreed with in the past or they have made me laugh. She certainly livens up a lot of threads. However I don't know whether she meant to be so cutting with the comment about paying over the odds. I hate someone telling me I ought not to have paid what I paid. It feels like you have been called foolish.

When I joined the forum I was puzzled for a while that there was so little cut and thrust, arguing and dissent the way there are on other forums. However I value it now as a place where I can chat with people in an environment that is always supportive whether you are down generally or trying to decide what bag to buy, especially if no-one IRL shares your obsession!

I come here to get away from all that (ie the kids arguing/ fighting). I don't mind hearing differing opinions as long as they are given in a respectful way and don't make anyone else feel small or foolish. I hate a bad atmosphere.

I'm the same as you Jo, sometimes it's nice just to come here and have a relaxing friendly chat without any drama, as you say to unwind - with kids, dog and husband to deal with it's a nice release to get away from it. Hopefully this part of the forum doesn't turn into a bullying environment because that would be a real shame, and time for me to hang up my handbags :)

I have been offline due to problems with my internet connection - and also having received the news of the untimely death of a wonerful girl whom I knew.

I have come on - and I find this Thread Right now - I am disgusted - and I am sifting through each post to digest what is and has been said. Once I have checked it carefully - I will convey my thoughts - but I might point out that there are some members here who frankly I'm disappointed in.

Oh please korzinka don't play "im all innocent and everyone have a go at me". We/I (I can only speak for myself) have no problem with people questioning "reputable buyers" or "the trusted", but its the way its being done. The Mulberry-subforum has always been a very friendly, happy and cheerful place, when one has a question or remark, normally its being put in a polite and nice manner.

Fair enough you would not buy from a reputable seller, but others are, and that's their choice. When a member is happy with their purchase they dont want to hear negative comments do they? (For that they have their friends, family and OH that doesnt quite get our desires)
Please just keep in mind that people might actually get hurt and/or offended.

Sad to see that this post has come to this: Congrats on your wonderful new bag Sjmidd, cant wait to see a reveal-post once you get it. Hopefully that wont be destroyed as this topic has.

Last but not least: A reputable seller is not loosing a tad of credibility if the details on how they got the bag is changed abit. To me it makes no difference if a bag is a "gift" "unwanted" or "bought at a lower price to be resold". But I doubt a business-seller will use the last statement as it doesnt exactly boost the sales.
But who cares what it says as long as the bag is in the shape as the description states, the pictures are real and the bag is indeed genuine.

Making people doubt reputable sellers just because you dont like what they are doing, is wrong and posts doing so should be deleted.

Cheer up everyone

OK - so I've read this Thread. Your post which I'm quoting - This is an OPEN FORUM - and therefore girls are entitled to post what they see as a fair comment. HOWEVER, your comments with regard to the seller in question- are derogatory. You have also commented, or rather cast a doubt upon another EBay Reseller. This Thread was started by OP to ask if MulberryMad was a reputable re-seller. The answer to that question is YES.

Whether you have an issue with the way in which that seller runs their business is NOT of interest. EVERYONE who uses EBay has the right to bid as and how they please. Therefore if a reseller is the Highest Bidder - its because they have chosen to bid more than any of the others. What that reseller chooses to do with that item - is entirely up to them. As an 'open market' EBay attracts people from all walks of life and they are all very well able to make up their own minds as to how much they are willing to pay for an item. Some buyers need the reassurance which comes from buying from a reputable reseller. Some don't have funds which will allow them to buy from retail stores - i.e., Harrods, HN, Mulberry etc.

You have - once more - decided to wage a war of words - and your comments in many cases have been unnecessary. How on earth would you have felt - as the buyer of the bag in question - when someone told you - that you could have bought it XX cheaper a few weeks ago on EBay? OP is delighted with her purchase and you have to try and shoot her down in flames. Thats not being nice. Sorry - but if you can't see that - then you are clearly keen to start confrontations.

Whilst healthy and open discussion is perfectly acceptable - to attack another member on a Thread - isn't. If you have issue with a particular member - then take it to PM - This is NOT the first instance of this type of thing - hopefully it WILL be the last.

I appreciate that you may find it annoying that people buy at a price and then add an amount whilst selling. Thats their business. The point with regard to someone having another ID on EBay - whereby they have a Private Feedback in order to buy - that again is their prerogative. If you don't like it - then you DON'T have to buy. Neither - do you have to come on to a Thread and be disrespectful.

If you can't post respectfully then please don't.

Whilst I appreciate - as I've said - it is an Open Forum - there are limits which are acceptable. The bounds of these have now been stretched to their limit.

Your comment 'no-one must question the TRUSTED' is completely ridiculous - You - have managed to degrade this Thread into a 'slanging' match to an extent - and that is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

If you have any difficulty in understanding this - then please - feel free to PM me.

Any further derogatory remarks WILL be deleted.

Whilst I'm perfectly happy to be 'laid back' there comes a point where some points must be made.

HTH

Hi Lescoy- sorry about your friend- and that you had to come back to this petty squabbling-take care- there are more important things than silly "ladies" while you are grieving for your friend

Dear Lescoy

I am so sorry to hear about your friend, a sudden loss is so very hard.

Thank you for your wise, fair & nice words on this subject.

This forum and its members mean the world to me, I love chatting about bags, sharing others delights, hearing how OHs have to be outwitted in "Handbag Hide-n-Seek" and the discussions. As Jo and others said, this is a nice & fun place.

And if I may, just 2 more personal notes:

MulberryMad - thank you for my lovely bags & having the patience to explain how to look after them properly.

SJMidd - Let's see this gorgeous new bag of yours: I hear its a stunner! And do come back we are a really fun bunch really.

Love Ells xxx

OMG, I only saw the first two posts on this thread...

Well enough is said here really, but just wanted to say I'm happy we have the trusted sellers, and that ebay is a free market. Like it or not. Also hoping we/some will have a more respectful tone when talking about other member's new, gorgeous bags (nobody is buying a bag they don't like..) - this should be a happy place to be!

Lescoy, so sorry to hear about your loss.

SJMidd, Congrats! Can't wait to see you lovely bays when it arrives!
