Hi steph. I got the iPad 3 for my birthday in march, my sil got the iPad 2 for Xmas. Don't think there's much difference. 3 is supposed to have better pixels/resolution and better camera abilities. Oh and there is a slight difference in size, 3rd is mm's bigger. Though dont think it matters as when I was looking for a cover there weren't many specifically for certain models. Also iPad3 as voice typo recognition thingy on keyboard which never works anyway. My sil seems happy with her 2. I'm on mine constantly, never use laptop or pc now, Unless I need to use office or print something

Thanks for that. Think I might go for the 2 then as its an extra £100 for the 3 and if there isn't much difference its not worth it. Plus I can get a decent case with the difference!

Steph the only thing I thought was noticeable when in the shop was the screen on 3 was much clearer.. But if you have nothing to compare it to then it prob doesn't matter...!
