Default Mistake to buy the same bag again?
As you know my purple Shimmy Hobo was returned to Mulberry for repair but was a "write off"
Well after hunting I got another one, but I just don't love it as much as my original one.
I'm not sure if it's because I bought a Mitzy in the meantime, which I absolutely love.
The replacement is 2nd hand and needed some nourishment and has the leather bit missing off the zipper pull and although I got it for an excellent price, the love is just missing.
Do you think I could fall back in love with this bag?

Nope, from my experience once the love has gone, it's gone.

Hi

I think we all have our favourite mulberry bag....
How long have you had your 2nd Shimmy for? Maybe, you could give it a little longer - it maybe a grower (you may fall in love with it over time).

I had a similar thing once with my mitzy hobo - even thought of selling her, but oneday, something changed and I love her now!

she arrived at the weekend
I had the same thing with my 2nd red Mabel and although I don't use it much, I can't bring myself to sell it.

I agree, there are negative connotations and even asking us is a sign that you are wavering. Maybe you want to recreate how good you felt about the first one before the problem started ?
Do you want to lie on Corries'Couch and tell me about it

I got myself an Annie in Chocolate because I thought I missed the one that I sold.
I just have to quote John Lennon on this one: you can't reheat a soufflé, I sold it after about a month.

thanks for your opinions, may give it a couple of weeks and if I feel the same, I'll let it go and put the money toward the Xmas sale.

Hmm, Rachie, I notice that in the original listing at least one of the pictures showed the long leather pull - worth contacting the seller and asking whether they still have it, or claiming item as not as described on that count? Of course if you can sell it and not make a loss once fees, postage etc factored in obviously that would be pleasanter all round.

You're doing the right thing Rachie. Once the love has gone, it's gone.
I think it's about getting the same bag again, there's none of the excitement because of the familiarity. Have to say though, I love my purple Shimmy hobo!
