Default lost that loving feeling
I have totally lost the loving feeling for my pebble mabel since I bought my Roxanne.

It feels so strange. Last winter I used mabel and liked her, but this year I can't see myself use her at all. When I try her I only feel she isn't right for me anymore.

I was a little afraid when this happenend and I thought I perhaps had lost the love for all my other bags after using Roxy, but I still love my bays and my e-w. It just seems to be Mabel that I react to, so I might rehoming her.
Think my collection is starting to shrink

Has that ever happened to you? That when you bought a new bag you completley loose your love for another simular one?

Someone is going to get a lucky day on ebay! Of course this happens, and not only with bags unfortunately. The fact is, it is quite right to not want many bags...
If to be brutally honest, "love" for bags is possibly an addiction (I am first to confess), and one of the features on the addiction is that we might never be content. "Unloving" the old and "cherishing" the new are all signs of a cycle, to keep addiction going. Designer companies use this to the full! On the other hand, you may be "recovering" from the whole thing?
If we all measured how many minutes a day we think of mulberry bags, and measured daily over several weeks, the results would be scarily obvious! How many minutes a day is it healthy to think about bags... 2? 3? If I just time myself posting, I will already count 25!
This is with the exception of resellers, who deal with bags professionally, so their "obsession" is not an obsession but professional expertise, making them a living.
Don't kill me please!

I totally understand Salikons and also agree with korzinska. I have fallen out of love with many bags that I have previously adored. I am rather reticent about selling quickly though as I have been known to fall back in love again too. I think we are fickle and changeable and thats why we are so interesting LOL.

In the past I have suddently found I suddently don't like bags and have to get rid of them as soon as possible as I can't stand to have them around. I suppose this is in some ways a reaction of guilt as I can't justify spending large amounts of money on things I don't absolutely love.

I can totally understand this too Salikons. The Mabel and the Roxy are so similar in size and I suppose that Oak and Pebble are from the same sort of colour spectrum so would be worn with the same things.

Give it some time, maybe you'll love mabel again when the novelty of the roxy wears off a bit

Also agree with you Korzinka... it's not completely normal to be thinking about bags so much of the day as many of us do. However, it's not neccessarily a bad addiction... as long as it's within reason / size of wallet

I was afraid it was only me, but this seems to be normal, well almost normal anyway

I must say give things time is not in my nature. At least if I look at how I am when it comes to clothes. When I no longer can see myself wearing them, then I don't anymore. Then they just sit in the wardrobe until next cleaning out and then they usually end up at the salvation army, or any other chatiryshop.

Salikons, I too am incredibly fickle, loving something one minute and hating it the next. As soon as I get that feeling about a bag then it has to go. I won't use it if I don't love it and I certainly wouldn't want to keep a bag that I don't love.

The way I look at it, if I've enjoyed using it and found something I like better then there is no harm done in selling it on. The only time I regretted this decision was the first oak Rosie I had - never bonded with it due to it being brand new and quite stiff. So, I sold it, immediately regretted it and then bought a pre-loved one instead which has been used by me a lot and I love it.

I think you are one happy girl if you fall out of love with an older bag when buying a new, similar one. That will help you keep your collection under control and prevent you from keeping bags that will not get enough use. I don't see anything wrong in being impulsive if it is equally easy for you to buy stuff as it is to get rid of it.

My problem is that I make decisions to buy stuff in an instant, but then I have a really hard time letting anything go .

Salikons , sell it and move on if you're not using it ! I've changed my collection around a bit this year , still have a little bit more tweaking to do as I intend to use every bag I own .
