No I dont see a problem with it Salikons, Ive done the same myself. Im pretty fickle and something (bag/clothing/shoes) can be the object of my affection one minute and 'out' the next - Mr H doesnt understand this at all as when he buys something he wears/uses it until it falls apart!

I'm extremely fickle and have been known to fall out of love with a bag within a week of buying it!
I've found the only way I have counter that is by regularly rotating my bags so I don't bore of any one style too quickly. If my bags stay with me for a couple of years, that's doing well!

I rarely bring myself to part with any bag as I have fallen back in love too often.
Only Oak Roxy is a complete write off but a couple are a bit iffy. I can't be bothered with the hassle of ebay either. I wish I could look at bags the way some of you do. ie sensibly and clinically. I don't love it so I'll sell it on.
I would let a £500 bag sit on the shelf rather than part with it for £200 which is silly. I do the same with jewellery. I have gold jewellery I never wear and isn't particularly of sentimental value but I don't sell it on for scrap. It's crazy.

I'd keep Mabel as there may be times that Roxy is just a little bit too casual but Mabel does the job, it's more elegant IMO. Mabels this season disappointed me. I'dve liked an emerald small/shoulder and the oak spongey doesn't work for me. Sorry last bit a bit O/T

Corries I used to think exactly that - no way am I selling a bag for half the price that I have hardly used! but, if I really do not feel the love anymore, I look for another slightly used bag that I know I will love and offset if that way.

I used to be so very very precious about my bags, but now, a bag I loved last year, I can get out and just not feel anything for anymore, so I know its time for a re arrangement!

I actually think I need to sort myself out. I have a couple of bags I would give away to someone who would appreciate them. But I'm not passing them on to anyone who doesn't. I think I'll maybe go down the lovehandbags route but for the trade in price. They give low quotes but i really can't be bothered with ebay.

Awwwww but it's the endless pics, silly questions , looking out the receipts. finding out the the postage costs to Patagonia. I'd rather sit on a rusty spike

I sooooooo agree

I just cannot part with bags (and shoes) though have no problem culling clothes and the very odd purse or keyring - my 20 year old+ congo gladstone had a few outings this year - can still remember the look of shock on DH face when she came home

I am also a teeny bit impatient - though according to DH I would win a gold medal without any competition or training but maybe that is what we all have in common obviously apart from our fantastic taste in bags

I also fell out of love with black mabel until very recently then carried her for a week constantly

Keep enjoying and happy wearing

You are describing me as well... I would rather give for free to someone who would love the bag... I never bothered to sell anything on ebay for some reason...

Negotiate the bag you want for trade from their site down to offset the low offer price for your own, found this worked really well

Maybe when selling our bags on eBay we should specify that only tPFers are allowed to bid, in the same way that some sellers won't sell mobile phones to anyone in Nigeria?

I'm the same with my Midnight Mabel, I've even listed it on Ebay then had to take it off again, as it looked so lovely in the listing!
