I was wondering whether patent leather splits us....do we love it....or not?

For me it does nothing - I can see that for others it is a winner and can appreciate that, but for me it is a non starter.....

Have had 2 patent bags - one i sold, other is under the bed....never to see the light of day again.

I would love to know if this is a love/hate leather.....

Yep, definitely like Marmite.

I've not liked patent ever since my mother put me in knee length white patent boots.....thought I was the bees knees at the time but now look back in horror.

I love Marmite, and I love Patent

Its so shiny and special lol, great in the rain, holds its shape and hey if you spill something, it wipes straight off!

Im a big fan :)

Personally I LOVE it! I was never allowed patent shoes as a child and was always sad about it, then my lovely DH bought me some gorgeous R&B Patent shoes for Xmas a couple of years ago and I am desperate for the Bays to match them!

I don't hate it , but I don't love it. I've not had a proper patent leather bag before - plenty of high street ones though. Not wishing to offend patent leather carriers but I associate patent leather with cheaper bags , I do own an expensive pair of patent leather boots though so I should know better.
I love the look of patent bags on other people ( Flossie comes to mind ! ) but I don't think I can carry it off, I always think that I look like I'm carrying someone else's bag.

I know and I do love my leopard bays but don't like all patent so that puts me in the middle ground.
