How does Mulberry goatskin compare to its NVT leather? Is it as durable and sturdy as the NVT seems to be? I am interested in the goatskin because of the silver hardware that comes with it on the black Bays model, but need something that is not going to be too delicate. I've had goatskin bags before, and really didn't like the way I had to be so careful with them. Any suggestions?

I never have to baby my goatskin bags .. namely Maggie & Poppy satchel.
I find them really hardwearing & great in the rain!!

Thanks! That's good to hear. I don't mind the NVT leather, but really prefer the silver hardware that is available on the goatskin.

My goatskin Mulberry is floppier than my NVT bags but does not seem to be particularly vulnerable. I don't associate goatskin with weakness. My older Balenciagas were made of goatskin (rather than the current lambskin) and they have all lasted very well too.

I've got a black goatskin bays with silver hardware. My husband got it for me from Shepton Mallet last Christmas - I think it was a special. I have used it most days for work since then and it is fine, and I'm not very good at babying bags. Although I agree with Jenova; it is not as 'rigid' as other bays I have seen. I just use a bag liner and that seems to help it keep its shape.
