Just don't let the RSPCA get wind of it.

Suspect that the RSPCA would be more angry about you making him live in that cardboard box than allowing him to play with your handbag.

It's a Mulberry FGS! It's not like I'm polishing up some minging old Radley with him. Ho ought to be grateful. Sometimes I sling him a couple of Pot Noodles and a can of Irn Bru.

That's a pretty stout cardboard box as well.

It is not a Mulberry box is it though? Play fair with him and give him the proper box.

He would also buff much better if he had a dustbag stuffed with tissue paper to sit on while he did it. (Not just any dustbag - a genuine Mulberry one.)
