Yes, you hear this accusation all the time. I work in an international company though with two sites in US, one east coast one west coast. I love the "can do" enthusiasm from my US colleagues and when visiting I am always struck in shops about how people are bouyant and helpful. In UK SA and waiters etc often look as if they are begrudging helping.

Slight change of subject but I was amazed to find Orla Kiely bags in a little boutique in Burlington, Vermont. I know there's a strong Irish ties in the Boston area but, as someone who's half Irish myself, I was a bit taken aback to find Orla Kiely way up in Vermont!

^^Not a one. The only one I saw was a woman in T3 with a big black Antony.
Loads of those awful blingy Guess bags though!

Hello my lovelies!!! I haven't been on here for ages. How you are all well. I'm really loving using my choccy Poppy. Shes a big bag (but not too big due to the slightly triangular shape), choccy colour goes with alot & for a bigish bag she is fairly light too.

Blue Cat I saw that picture this morning. My friend and I were arguing about Toytown of all things and we were looking for pictures of her horse. Seeing the red mulberry was a surprise!

I'm always very cautious with international coworkers- they are usually somewhat befuddled by my work hours and habits. Day can start at 4:00 a.m and end late. Then again, I may not go into work for several days

I complimented an SA at Hermes Harrods and she seemed shocked. But she looked gorgeous with her purple Dancing Pearls scarf and I told her so.

WE have a British guy that works in our accounting office and I always looks forward to a call from him. Nice guy with a lovely accent!

I dropped and lost track of my passport in Belfast airport. Hugged the policeman who found it and gave it to me. He blushed and people clapped. Added it to my list of do's/do not's in the UK.

^^The only real reason I'm with my DH is because of his British accent.
