Hello,

The Fuschisa Effie Satchel is on sale on Mulberry.com currently. I have always loved the bright colour and the embossed tree, but also really love the Daria in oak with the gold plaque....
I think the Daria will definitely be easier to match, but the Effie is on sale!!!! and I just love the tooled Mulberry Tree. Do I need both???

I have also attached the brown Effie for good measure.....

Well, i personaly like Effie more than Daria because I just love a tooled tree (Effie is in my wishlist so I will get it sooner or later). As well i like that Effie has both short handle and long strap.
As for colour i like Fuchsia but I have to many pink bags and none in oak. But i'm usually very tempted by bags on sale.

Oak Daria definitely! It is a beautiful bag in all colours. For me, effie couldn't match up, even if the flap hadn't been stained :-(

Also the effie shoulder strap is useless as the bag lies too high. But Daria strap can be doubled up and hangs nicely.

The oak effie is more washed out than oak Daria. But fuchsia effie is a gorgeous colour.

For me Daria all the way-leather is much better quality and its better made thus the price difference to effie even pre sale-oak is a classic colour but if you like pink and change bags quickly and arent worried about them lasting for years go for the effie as its a bargain

I'm going to be blunt and say Daria :)

I have the Daria in Oak and it is the most complimented bag I have...I did buy the oak Effie but I sold it on as I didn't think the quality of the bag was half as good as the Daria's...so Daria all the way for me
Oh and have you see the pertol version Daria on the coming soon at M.com its lovely

Ive never owned an Effie but have heard that the quality is not up to scratch.
I have owned the daria satchel in oxblood and can say it was a versatile bag although i love the Mulberry tree as well i would still go for the Daria satchel its def a well made and distinctive bag i was going to buy one again but now i have a postmans lock bag in black which to me replaces my Daria satchel and looks so classy and is much better for me than the Daria satchel. Still the same concept. Good luck in your choice.

Me too im going to buy one more bag its either the push polly in conker which i love or the bryn.

Daria definitely! I was very tempted by the Effie earlier this year and had hoped to bag the tote in fuschia in the sale but I was put off by the thinness of the leather. The Daria is gorgeous in oak and a real statement piece with the gold disc.

Totally agree!! Daria is just stunning! A real head turner of a bag!

What a coincidence this should come up as I was just thinking the other day what a gorgeous bag the Effie Satchel is (love the embossed tree too) and the criss cross leather thonged handle is also a lovely detail - I would def go for her over the Daria without question, esp if she is on sale!!! - and I think you will be surprised how versatile fuschia can actually be (great with pastels now, and jewel brights and black for the darker months) - and what a lovely colour to brighten an extremely dull and Summer!!!

Really interesting to hear about the difference in quality between Daria and Effie - just shows how important it is to do your research (on TPF, obviously!) before you buy
