Default Black Bays clutches help
This yeas season black in the bays clutch is black wrinkled patent. last year was black cracked metallic.

Anyonw who has seen both IRL. Which do you like best and Why?
If you were to choose between them which one would you choose?

also it says the cracked metallic is durable and the patent needs special attention,. could this really be true?

i would go for the wrinkled patent as just looks nicer and easier to maintain and use than crackled finish..

Honestly, I think the cracked metallic is more sensitive - I would go for patent!

I have a wrinkled patent black clutch and I seen and handled the cracked metallic

IMO patent is much more resistant and durable than cracked metallic. The cracked leather will show use over time and "bits" will surely flake off The patent won't change/wear unless you scratch it

http://www.mulberry.com/#/customerse...tallicleather/

It says that the surface is fragile and wear is expected...

Anyway, I think both of them are fabulous, if you like the cracked metallic better there is one on sale at Stylebop at 3900 SEK

(You have got to adjust your country at the top of the page to 'Sweden' to be able to buy it though)

right now I am just confused, and don't know what to think...... if you read about the baysclutch and look at the cracked metallic leather there it says it is smooth and durable???

they have different information regarding the leather on different pages in their shop...

I am a HUGE fan of the wrinkled patent. It seems SO robust and is very tactile. I know that the cracked patent wouldn't be for me as I think it flakes off around the edges. Perhaps see if you can find some pics of used cracked patent bags (maybe on eBay) to see how you would be with the ageing process.

I had a metallic bronze Bayswater and had to let it go because I couldn't deal with the way that the colour rubbed off as it aged.

ETA the carecard with my Daria is for "glossy leathers". It doesn't mention Collonil and the SA said not to use it although, having just checked the website, I see it recommends spraying wrinkled patent leather Not sure that I would - the spray would just sit on top of the leather and wouldn't absorb into it

Late here, sorry.

I have the black wrinkled patent small Bays clutch and I love it. I think the leather is very durable, though I do worry about getting scratches on it. So far though it's been fine. I've had a feel of the cracked metallic and it didn't feel nearly as nice as the wrinkled patent, and I would worry about little bits flaking off.

I got mine to use on the rare evening out to dinner/movie with DH. I knew I'd only need essentials, hence opting for the small size.

As for when to get one, I'd say get it now as they've been selling brilliantly and, being a classic colour, are unlikely to go in the sale.

Klp - I would love to see some modelling pics of smalll bays clutch (and I'm sure Salikons would like it as well) as many girls here have shown lots of modelling pics of regular size bays clutch. It would be great to see the size difference!

yes please modelling pic :-)

I have looked at the sizes and the small one is about a half a4 paper, and the big one as big as an A4 paper.

Since I have a small Chanel for evenings out, I think I will get a big one, but I am wondering if I can wait until sale. It seems like it is 6 left on Mullberry. The small one is only one left
