Default Bagmate vs vip - the winner is?
Hi Ladies
As my new A4 Roxy will arrive on Sunday, the time has arrived to make that decision-Bagmate or VIP Liner? I know from older threads that some of you were going to try the Bagmate.Just wondering how it worked out? Is it really as good as the VIP? Am I better off to spend the extra money and go for the VIP or is it a waste of money when the Bagmate is so cheap? I also will be using it in my bays and a vintage bag I have. So advice on size comparisons also welcome or maybe some pics??
Thanks a million Ladies

Large VIP is the bees knees IMO. Wasn't impressed with bagmate.

I have the Business size VIP liner and I can use it in all my bags, just turn it inside out so that pockets are on the inside and it can be used in smaller bags as well. Here are a couple pics, the first shows the liner in Bays and the second shows the liner turned inside out in Effie. Fits perfectly!

I haven't bought a Bagmate so don't have one to compare it to, but I do find the VIP liner very useful and well made.

I only received the VIP Business size last week and so far am very happy with it. Not so ideal for my Mitzy Messenger and it is quite slouchy and the VIP liner seems to disappear a bit in it. I also ordered the bag liner that Tchibo has on special offer at the moment and will do a comparison with that once it arrives.

Oooh that would be very helpful, thank you!

Re the VIP liners - are the large size and the business size the same?

I think the business size is the large size; the other one you usually find on offer is the smaller size, which I believe seems to be quite on the small side.

Yep, I agree mssw I think some websites call it 'business' some call it 'large' - the dimensions appear to be the same though. The small is sometimes called the classic, and while it's fine for smaller bags, I find it just a tad too small for medium to larger bags.

Pixelkitten, you might not be missing anything but I can tell you why I use one.....

I used to keep my small bits and bobs (lipgloss, biros, tissues etc) in a couple of different make-up bags in my handbags, along with my purse, agenda, brolly etc. Some bits I would also keep in the pockets which were integral to the handbag itself. This meant that whenever I wanted to swap bags, I'd have to move several different items over, and inevitably something would get left behind

I also found that if I was in a rush I'd often just throw stuff like biros or lipgloss loosely back into the bag, with the risk of leakage onto the lining. By using the handbag liner, the inside of my handbags are protected from any potential stains, plus I just lift the whole thing out, so that everything is transferred together - no danger of forgetting anything. Oh and with all the pockets on the VIP I find it's so much easier to find stuff quickly

If you've never experienced these problems, I'd suggest that you probably wouldn't benefit from a handbag liner. For me though, it's been very helpful

Editing to add - Sorry style siren, I forgot to say that I'd recommend the large/business size for your A4. Did you also see the info on the Tchibo liners too - they only come in black and purple, but two different sizes in a set, and they look to be excellent value. Looking forward to mssw's verdict!

I've got a bagmate and it would be no good for a larger bag so I would not get one for your Roxy Tote style siren. It's fine for smaller bags and at £5.99 is good value.

Thank you for the answer
