snoopy - yes, I agree, the grain is very nice too!

allylee - definitely fake.

slowhand - from the limited photos, I would say it looks good. If you are slightly unsure, please take some photos of the actual bag, good clear ones if poss please, and post them here.

Roobeez - I'm not so good on the mabels, maybe someone else can help. The araline looks good, although the actual colour is coffee and it is in washed nappa leather. Also, not so good on the agyness, but my thoughts are this one looks good, but someone else will hopefully confirm.

Hi

Well Roxy arrived today and to my untrained eye looks ok....she was given the thumbs up on here.... .however I am still nervous that she is not genuine. Could you take another look for me please ? What is it that makes her look genuine ?

What can I add?

I was told she was bought Dec2007
The ears lay flat - the 'D' rings are heavy.
The made in label is Black and states
Made in Turkey with the letters LY on the back.
The leather is quite matt and textured. What type of leather please?
The inside suede is very soft and
The inking is quite shiney
It has a serail number.
Empty she is slouchy

That's about it.

Thank you !
This bag looks okay to me.

The ears should lay flat down against the bag so that is right. The 'Made In' label looks good - the same as mine only mine has LB on the back. The leather will be Darwin leather (or Natural Veg leather which is the same).

Roobeez, while I'm sure you have buyers' best interests at heart, I don't think you're allowed to post your own ebay links on here..

Oh dear, I'm soooooo very sorry if my post breached protocol. My absolute only intention was to protect buyers interests. In order to best accomplish this, I thought it prudent to go the extra mile and seek expert confirmation at tPF. I now realize I should have thought to do this BEFORE listing said items. This forum is a fantastic, valuable resource, and I would never have knowingly bent any rules. Again, I'm truly sorry for my error.

Roobeez, we all make mistakes so don't worry, we understand what you were trying to do. Good luck with your auctions.

Hi Slowhand. One of the Mulberry staff told me another way you could check your Roxanne is to run your fingernail over the serial no. Genuine bags are slightly 'engraved' in, rather than just printed on.

Dare say it doesn't mean Fakers haven't cottoned onto this, but it may help you decide? Photos seem to look OK though. Regards, Lady F

Thanks everyone - I'm feeling more confident now - have been puting off bonding with her because I dont want to bond with a fake!
Will try to take some pics and post them.
