JazzyJay my Elgin that you took a look at the other day and wasn´t 100% sure about, has riri m6 engraved behind the zipper. Could that tell you something?

Regarding m_belle´s Elgin i can see, that mine got an exstra stitcing on the backside that m_belle´s doesn´t have. I´ll oploade af picture of it. I have been told, that some fakes does not have that exstra stitcing. Is that correct?

Ok, I just did something that was pretty stupid. The Antony pics I posted a few minutes ago were from a Buy it Now listing, and my itchy little fingers couldn't wait....I bought the bag. So now, I'm asking for authentication on a bag that I can't return. I wasn't COMPLETELY daft about it, I DID check out the seller's website (it's in the caption under the photos). They looked quite reputable, having been written about in Bazaar last year, so I went for it. Now, without further ado, here she is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=190290732103

I hope someone has good news for me....

Oh yeah, mine doesn't have that! Odd.

Crazy - I think you need to wait for somebody that has one of these older style Antonys. Its an older one because it has a cream strap - the new ones all have Dark Brown straps.

Jazzy is right too, my Antony (although its a newer one) has the leather bit (where the Mulberry sign is inside the bag) but then has another leather bit on top of that where Mulberry is written.

I've taken a picture because I don't think I've explained it very well.

You can see in the second photo that the bit with Mulberry and the tree on is stuck onto another bit.

Crazy, if you look back at that person's history they've sold other mulberry things and not got feedback for all of them. Sometimes no feedback is as telling as bad feedback, so not sure about the bag, but you could always ask someone to look at the other bags they've sold too to see if they're real.

drloopylou Its hard going by their history though because they have got positive feedback for the other Mulberry bag they sold. The other one only finished on 27th Feb so depending on how payment was made the buyer might not have received the item to leave feedback yet.

The other items sold have been packing bags or cellotape.

You just have to wait for some more opinions on the photos in the auction really.

If you're not sure, there are more Oak Antony's on eBay, you might be better to just go for one of those.

The link didn't work for me but I copied and pasted the auction number in.

From the one photo, it looks okay but we need to see more photos. I see that somebody else has already asked for more photos and she said that she is going to post the photos tonight. We'll be able to tell better then.

Here's another link just incase that one doesn't work.

^ I'm not sure. All I did was go into the auction, then highlight the http address at the top and copy and paste it into the forum.

I hope this bag is okay - its really making me want a Chocolate Phoebe!!! (don't worry, I'm not in the market for anything new at the moment!).

I agree completely, wasn't trying to make my comments sound negative, but sometimes looking at other things people have sold to see if they're fake can help, still an absolute minefield though!

Oh god, yeah - sorry I wasn't being funny. I ALWAYS forget to do that Goofbay history check thing, then feel completely stupid when somebody posts on here that the seller in question has sold loads of the same bag!!!! Hahaha

That's why I've suggested that she just looks at some of the other Antony's - I'm unsure about this particular seller. It also makes it harder that the 2 other Mulberry bags they have sold I am not at all familiar with (although one of them looked very nice!) so couldn't tell if they were fake or not.

That's why I've pretty much given up with eBay, its just too difficult!
