Can someone pls. tell me something more about antique glace leather? Is it a particular kind, of leather, scratches easily, ...? thanks
Hi there - I think this is genuine

As for the glace leather - I like it, not as hard wearing as the darwin IMHO though

Oops - I meant it doesn't age as well as the darwin, at least with the glace you don't have to worry about water so much

The black antique glace ledbury is genuine, the seller is one whose listings I often watch. Some of the black antique glace items can have a bit of a translucent greeny hue to them after a while, and can show every mark such as fingerprints etc.

I can really only see the grain in one of the interior shots, but it is slightly stippled and even. Darwin can have a slightly stippled appearance on occasion, but is usually uneven, which means that it is not the same texture all over. If you take matt glove for example, that is a stippled and even leather, but darwin usually isn't.

Beejerry, with those photos it is impossible to see anything, however the kensington they have listed is almost certainly fake, so I would say the tooled bayswater is too.

The second one, the green, doesn't look bright enough to be apple - it looks more like olive, but I am not certain. Also, the hanging keyholder is not shown, so may be missing as well as the lock and keys. It does look genuine though.

Thanks JazzyJay!

I thought the first one was fake, but not sure. My next target is an apple green Mulberry, so cute.

Thanks! I think I'll pass on glace leather, I don't to be "slave" of my purse and worry about fingertips, small marks, etc...

thanks in advance!
I was looking at this Bayswater too and before reading this post I asked the seller to send me pics of the Made in...tag and dustbag.
Here's her reply:
"Hi there, Thanks for your interest in the rose bayswater. It is clear from the photos that the bag is genuine, and the bag you receive will be the one shown, therefore it is not necessary for me to supply additional photos. I never take photos of the dustbags anyway."
Then I replied her and just asked where the bag was made, she replied: "Hi again, Having just double checked, there is no black 'Made in' label inside this bag. The pink ones tend to be Made in England but not always, of course". Is it true?

Yes, not all bags have a Made in tag, similarly not all bags have a disc and not all discs have a serial number. In fact, some bags don't have a leather Mulberry tag either, although there are only a few models that don't have a leather tag. Mulberry make the same model in different countries, so the bayswater could be made in England, China, Spain or Turkey - I have seen them labelled with all of those countries, and of course, have seen them without labels.
