Thank you, Jazzy Jay! Great variations to say the least. One more question: Is it possible for eg. a Bayswater to have neither a made in-tag, nor a disc?

Yes, all models can have a combination of no disc, no tag; no disc with tag; disc, no tag or disc and tag. Some discs are on the outside of the bags too.

Duranie - definitely replicas, the colours are not correct and there is never a sample piece of hanging leather attached to the bags.
I had a red Bayswater with the Made in Spain tag so yes they definately exist

What do you think about this one?

Strange that seller didn't post pics of the disc or interior or the key pouch.

beejerry - I don't know if the bag is genuine or not. However, brand new seller with no feedback, does not accept PayPal so no protection there. Personally, I'd avoid due to those reasons, I think.

Ditab, those are great reasons to avoid this auction . I'm not going to bid, but the leather of the bag looks very stiff and the lack of detail pictures makes me wonder...

Beejerry, difficult to tell from the lack of detail as you say but something about that bag doesn't look right to me, just can't put my finger on it.

lea-m, 250156412912 - can't tell from just the one photo. The auction states it was purchased on ebay, could you contact the seller and ask for the auction ID of when she purchased it?

150152992985 - again, not possible to tell from just that one (very poor) photo. Would need some better photos from the seller if possible.

150155143752 - same as above really, this one may be ok, but can't commit based on those photos

120155399323 - not happy with this one, leather a bit too shiny and the interior tag is a bit too rounded

Gosh, not sure if it is old age creeping on, but I am having trouble with all of these bags today!!

320151256451 - again not sure, but doesn't look quite right to me

lea-m: I'm definitely not an expert but I compared the photos to my Elgin (chocolate darwin).

The first two look okay, but like JazzyJay said, it is quite difficult to tell from just one photo.

I wasn't able to find the third one.

The fourth doesn't seem to be darwin leather even though it says so on the listing. The leather seems too smooth and shiny in my opinion. It seems a bit strange for the leather to be stated incorrectly as the seller says she has the care card (this should tell you the leather type).

The last one also doesn't look quite right.

Duranie, regarding the first listing, I doubt those are pictures of the actual bag, they look quite professionally done although they are quite dark and I am also inclined to think that it is not just one bag that is photographed but without lightening the photos I can't be sure.

The second one, I think is meant to be a rampling - it is hideously bad, sorry! Notice the even grain of the leather, which is exactly the same all over, and shiny too.

Regarding the araline in the last photo, I haven't seen one of these replicated (yet), and the photos are not good, but the colour looks right so I am going to say yes on this one. Just to be on the safe side, ask the seller for a photo of the interior showing the Mulberry leather label.
