Louis went to the Royal Dick Vet College yesterday - Feline Centre - which is fabulous. Within an hour
of my leaving him - he was having an ultrasound and the 'mass' aspirated. It appeared to be Lymphoma.

There was the possibility of Chemo - however, his bone marrow had basically all gone, he had no neurofils
left, his red blood cells were at 11.5 and he had no platelets. He had a temperature of 104.9 and was basically
- later this afternoon thought to be in septic shock - or bordering on it.

Three Professors looked at him, his case notes and thought that whilst Chemo was a possibility - given the
condition Louis was in - the fact that he had no defences at all - it would - in all probability - not work - or would
turn out badly. They did however, offer the possibility - albeit it couldn't start until tomorrow - because of his
veins - and there was a high possibility that he might not actually survive the next 24 hours.

Given everything - and the prognosis - possibly 7 - 9 months if Chemo were successful - and given that he was
so compromised his changes of the Chemo being successful was not high - I made the decision to have him put
to sleep. It is the hardest thing I've had to do in my life. My 18 year old son is devastated and has wept inconsolably
since we had the family discussion. We were all agreed that we must do the right thing for Louis - and give him peace.
The College said he was in some discomfort and had given him pain relief - I am sure that we have made the right
choice for our boy - and the memories we have of him will last forever. He gave us much joy - and now he will give
joy to those who meet him in the next world. He'll be waiting at Rainbow Bridge -

He comes home today- to be buried under a large tree in the garden - where we can watch him and he can watch
over the things he loved - the birds, the squirrels and butterflies.
My most sincere condolences Lescoy. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Thank you to you all - your all really sweet and kind - and I appreciate each and every one of you.

I've just reported the fakes which haven't ended - well some ended on 13th and really its not going to be much use in terms of sorting those ones out sadly. One which ended 14th I've reported - and the others are 'live' listings - lets hope EBay remove them -

Keep them coming girls - I'll be here to report them - and hopefully we can get rid of some of this crap.

Lescoy I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your cat. We have just got our first cat and it worries me already that one day we will have to say goodbye to her. I pray that things will ease for you and your family. Its so sad.

^^maisiebelle - thank you. It is difficult for sure - but at least we can know that we can always do the very best for our pets, and we are able - if and when needs be - to give them the peace they require. Its the hardest hardest tihng - but I brought Louis home yesterday and I saw him - and Dr Schwartz said they would make him very comfortable - and honestly - he looked so peaceful and so comfortable - that I think it made me feel more settled. That - and the fact that he can be here - with us - in the garden - where he lies now next to a Lilac Tree. He can see us - and we can see him. I still have things to do to make his 'spot' special - and it will be.

Don't think about the future with your cat - make sure you enjoy her and you can have such fun - and laughter. In the end - the memories live forever - and those you cherish.

Can I ask - what kind of cat did you get?

Lescoy - I'm so sorry to read about the loss of your beloved pet Louis. We had to make that same painful decision about our 11 year old collie dog a few years ago, when she suffered kidney failure - Like yourself, we decided to bring her home and she is buried under a beautiful old tree in our back garden. You will always have your wonderful memories of great fun times together and although your sadness seems so raw now, you will reflect in time that it was the kindest thing to do - faced with such a difficult decision. I hope you find peace and comfort in having a little resting place to visit in the privacy and tranquility of your own garden. x

I've put Louis on my Blog - and right now - whilst I have some excellent news on the Siberians - and their Show season - I don't feel its right to post it up on the Blog right now.

Ebay are working fast - removing very quickly

Gracie is a Bengal. She is 4 this month. We got her from a breeder who decided to retire her. www.glitterglam.co.uk

We have never had a cat before so it was all new for us. She is a bit of a nervous little thing but she is getting used to us. I absolutely adore her.
