Default I think it is fake?
This bag doesn't seem right.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUTHENTIC-MULB...3A1|240%3A1318

Notice how the smaller matching buckles on the right and left are oriented differently. The buckle on the right side should be reversed. I suppose this could have been done at the factory but I think the QC is much better than that.

Mr Holmes, this bag is 100% GENUINE.
MulberryMad is a lovely PFer and only sells genuine items.
Without sounding harsh, unless you are 100% sure that items are fakes or genuine please refrain from posting as this could affect someones reputation.

Sorry Mr Holmes, but I have to disagree with you. Mulberrymad only sells genuine Mulberry bags and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a bag from her. She's one of the best Mulberry sellers.

First of all there is absolutely no way any body on this forum can be 100% sure that a bag is fake, unless you are the person selling a bag that you know is indeed fake. How do you explain the reversed buckle? Is that common to have the buckle reversed or maybe it is a poor picture.

I don't really care if the person is a forum member. Anybody can join this forum. The mere fact that the person is a forum member is no guarantee any of their bags are authentic.

My observation is still correct the buckle appears to be reversed on the right side of the bag? Did Mulberry manufacture phoebe bags using the left hand buckle on the right side of the bag occasionally.

I totally agree that just because someone is a PFer that it is no guarantee that an item is authentic.
Alot of "seconds" are sold at the Outlets over here some have small defects, most unnoticable like inferior buckles.
The leather on the bag, shape, inside tag and hardware are spot on in this case.

I'm afraid there are quite a few bags that you can look at and be 100% certain that it is a fake. Others are very hard to tell.
Over time you get an idea of what to look for and after owning many of the models, you get a feel for what is wrong and what looks good.
If anything niggles me in the slightest when I'm buying then I stay clear.

Check out this disgusting 'Roxanne' - link I've reported it so hopefully listing will be removed.

I agree. There are loads of fake mulberry bags on ebay for sure however I trust that mulberrymad sells only genuine items. She would not risk her fantastic reputation selling fake stuff. The leather, stitching, inside labels etc are spot on - I think the buckle looks misleading in that picture. Why dont you pm mulberrymad and ask for more close ups of the buckle, Im sure she will be happy to oblige.

^^^I agree - the Mulberry tree on the brass disc is too big and the serial number on the bag is the one which is commonly used on fakes.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=180311679596 this was said to be fake on the 'authenticate this' thread so I have reported it. Shame!
