I'll try to save money on anything and everything. DH claims I'm the coupon queen, LOL. I'll find coupons for books, clothes, groceries...you name it.

well, house stuff and toothpaste. also, i try to find designer jeans on sale first, and if i can't, then i buy them full price but i usually don't pay full price for them.
i don't spend a lot of money on socks. i perfer heels and pumps where you don't wear socks anyway, so most of the time I don't even wear them except if I go to the gym, which I'll admit that I rarely do.
As for furniture, I find a lot of good stuff at Target but if something really really catches my eye then I will splurge on it so I don't know if that counts.
Mainly I don't spend a lot of money on food. I'm not a big eater and I never was. I don't enjoy cooking or anything, I just don't have any interest in it. My grocery list mostly consists of: A bunch of Lean Cuisines and Healthy Choice frozen dinners, protein bars, juice of some sort, diet soda, and apples. If I don't eat that food at home I usually eat out at Subway or I'll go to McDonalds and get a salad, or if I need a treat I'll go to Wendy's and get a plain hamburger and a milkshake. (It's really unhealthy, i know, but I'm happier this way.)

The basic in clothing...tank tops, socks, undershirts, night clothes. No sense in paying $100 for a basic white tank top just because the tag inside has a designer name on it. And vehicles. I refuse to get an expensive import that I have to take to the dealership for simple maintenance. Drive an hour for an oil change and pay $125? Forget about it...

I'll pay for good and healthy food always! I won't pay high prices for clothing when you can get really great deals at all the sales. Also, love going to the outlets, target and old navy for inexpensive clothes.
Also would never buy a new car. We have bought both of our cars used and paid them in full. I never want a car payment!

These days, aside from a few obvious exceptions, nearly anything in the retail stores. Almost everything's on sale. Even at the local mom & pop shops/boutiques because no one is shopping.

I'll be the first to admit that I took quite a sabbatical from my former bargain shopping self. But this is 99% due to a ridiculous work schedule and an even more insane social calendar. But given today's economy and the fact that nearly everything's marked down, it would be silly to pay full price for most material items.

Like so many of you ladies I will pay full price for new LV's but nothing else if I can ever help it.

My one biggie tho is plane travel; Airfare! I've been on leave from a major airline for nearly 7 years now but still have travel bennies so my family and I can still travel for free (even first-class to Europe!!) but it is on a stand-by basis. Once in a blue moon my hubby will mention going somewhere and I'll tell you the truth, I always decline unless I can get there on a free pass! There is just NO way I can bear to pay for an airline ticket even if it is positive space.

The only time I have traveled on a full-fare tix was when I went on a cruise with my son and some friends and we (son and I) had to fly into port. Because I was nervous about not making it to the ship on time by going stand-by, my sweet hubby bought us the full-fare tix so we would be fine. It still bugged me tho just on *principle*!!! The ironic thing was that the plane was eight hours late and we barely made it to the ship before it set sail, lol! My nerves were shot by the time we got there. Now our bags were not so lucky because it turned out that the airlines had left our bags behind at the departure city! The bags were later taxied to another port but we were actually OK because I always pack a spare outfit and undies in our carry-ons just in case. It really pays to have 'plan B' sometimes!

I'm ashamed to admit it, but if I want something the price doesn't even enter my head. I pay full price all the time!

I'm trying to think of the last time I paid full price for something, then I remembered I bought a sample of Freeze 24/7 at CVS yesterday full price. Other than that, only my SFactor hoodie and tank top to workout in. I am an eBay ho. I shop estate sales,CVS(you can really do well here with the card), BigLots, garage sales in nice neighborhoods, buy generic foods, buy stuff off of my designer whore friends, etc. I know enough people who only buy designer full price and I am not too proud to buy their stuff when the shine wears off. Even when I tried Nutrisystem, I bought it off Ebay for 1/4 the price. A lot of people try these diets, and never finish. Same with workout videos. I love this time of year because all of the New Years resolutions wear off and workout stuff is so cheap.

I forgot I also cloth diaper, but that is mainly out of environmental guilt. I only use disposable at night.

I stopped buying them a while ago. Every now and again I'll get a wild hair to send a friend a funny card.... but bday cards, anniversary cards, etc, to me are a waste of time. They just go in the trash.

The one exception - we still have all of our wedding cards. But..... ask me where they are, and it'll take a search party to locate them.

I believe in sympathy cards and holiday cards. But even holiday cards are a joke to me - everyone always sends their kids' pictures, so a couple years ago we started dressing my Basset like Santa and sending it out. (Last year both Bassets were in full Santa gear and the card said "Dear Santa, we can explain....")

I will only buy greeting cards at the dollar store. Same with any kind of gift wrapping supplies.
