Wow I'm so jealous of the multitude of AMEX holders out there!

My first card was at 18 - Discover with a limit of $500. After 6 or 7 months of on time payments, they increased my limit to $750, which is what it's at now and I'm 19. Plenty for me because I pay it off in full every month.

I also have a VS Card with a limit of $500 :)

19 yrs. old, Sophomore in college

I actually started my first credit card about 2 weeks ago with BoA. I have a $1000 spending limit with them but I haven't swiped the card yet. I should do that soon!

My first CC was when I was 18 and it was around $500 and now that I'm 21 it's gone up to a $2200 limit. My other CC I got with my mom before I went on a study abroad session and that CC has a $5000 limit.

Wow, I am lusting over an amex . I am 18 . However I don't have any credit cards nor credit. How'd you go about having one at 16 ?

^ I keep hearing good things about AMEX, Im going to try them. I have had Visa for years

when I was in high school, my credit limit was $500 and then through college it went up to $5,000.

I'm 25 and my credit limit is $10,000. but I would never use up that much

My first credit card had my dad as the primary holder and i have no idea what the limit was. But when i got my very own credit card (i was in my 3rd year of university) my limit was only $500. I didn't need anymore than that.

i'm 21 now and i have 0 credit cards. when i was 18-20 i had quite a few and the highest limit was $11,000.

now i'm going the all cash route until i get a steady income going (i'm in college).
