Default MAJOR sales for women vs. NBA finals/ Father's day-- coincidence??

This weekend is the NBA finals and Father's day. This weekend also happens to be when some of the biggest sales of the season for women go on.

My question, has it always been like this? Is there some kind of correlation? Or am I just over thinking all of this...

I guess I will be missing the sale, because I will be watching the NBA Finals.

And they probably do this because many women don't like sports. My DH says I am a dream wife for a man, because I love sports.

LOL, no I do not think there is a correlation at all. There's always sales at this time of the year. They start them right around Memorial Day and continue slashing prices every few weeks until most of the inventory is gone. Further, price slashing has been pushed earlier this year bc. of the economy. And the sales are on pretty much everything including men's and children's selections

actually i think there is likely a correlation - i noticed lots of online retail websites like BlueFly had major one-day sales on super bowl sunday . . . i don't watch sports at all so this little piggy did a lot of shopping that day
