i'm in my early 30s. i only started to have the interest to buy luxury designer bags about 2-3yrs ago. I would go to boutique only for something really love, if not, I would try to find out better deals on ebay, 2nd hand shop etc. For sure would use credit card to purchase, and pay full balance on time every month so that no finance charges would incurred. Sometimes may use cash also, e.g. friends go overseas to purchase on behalf.

Don't really keep track on how many bags per year. Maybe an average of 2 to 5 including bags, wallet, bag charms... etc. My next target is chanel reissue 227... time to start saving.

I just turned 20 a week ago. I work part time to save for my bags and it helps that I dont pay any bills or rent. My parents will buy me a Coach bag once or twice a year but as for my Louis Vuitton &Gucci...I buy those myself. I'd never ask my parents to buy them for me even though they can surely afford to. I'd feel wayy too guilty! As for how many a year...I don't have a limit. I bought 2 LVs, 1 Gucci, and a Burberry this year but I also sold off a lot of Coach bags.

I am sure I posted here before..but this year..I have gone waaaay overboard. I've bought around 30+ bags..But only kept 7. But that still means I made a huge loss.

I dont have a job and hubby does not pay for my bags.

I use my saved up money, but I am gonna be good from now on since I wanna have money left.

Next year I will limit myself to 5 bags. No matter if I sell some of the ones I buy, I can still only buy 5.

Not sure if I posted here but uhm..I don't have credit debt and am not a millionaire lover....I come from what my dbf calls "upper class"...in high school and college, my mom and oldest sister bought me LV and Dior bags so that was how I "afforded" them..

I recently started paying for my bags on my own since I started working(just graduated this past May)...also get a few thousand from dad every now and then and that helps with the bag purchasing..

I bought about 10 Chanels this year since June...Bay, I also am limiting myself to 5 next year!! Especially since I'm pursuing my Louboutin and Herve Leger obsessions and trying to save up to buy a loft in SF or LA

In fact he pays for virtually everything in the family. The bad thing is though I/we don't have any debts to pay but neither do I/we have much savings because I've splurge our/my savings on watches and bags!! I feel that my spending habit made us unable to afford a car and at least a small private property. I have the most designer stuff amongst my friends yet most of our friends own cars and private properties and of course huge savings for their retirement. The other reason could be that both my hubby and myself have low salaries. I admit that I do deserve a knock on my head for not living within my means.

Please don't feel bad since different people have different priorities. There are couples who own private properties like a condo, but hardly use the facilities because guess what? they are both out working hard to pay for the property. So the maids are the ones who use the swimming pools on weekdays and on weekends it will be crowded. And there's the monthly maintenance to pay to the management. Take the amount X 6 and you have a new bag. With such good public transportation in Singapore, a car is not a necessity. Its good that you don't have credit card debts. I do

Zero bags and zero bags per year...
I'm more into shoes and I work when I can (vacationjobs etc).

I wish I had parents who would support me and give me a few thousands, but they can't.

I think I buy 1 bag + 1 assecory a year.. (Louis Vuitton.. not Hermes which is 22004 times more expensive lol)

I'm a 21 yr old fulltime medicine student, and I work 8 hours a week.
I buy everything with my own earned/saved money, but usually all my money goes to rent, insurance, phone bills, university tuition, study books, train tickets and groceries, so I have like 50-100 euros a month to put into my savings account. Of which I buy (cheap!) clothes at H&M etc, and save up for a bag!!

My parents are not in the luxurious position to give me money or to pay for my university tuition, but when I buy something I know I really earned it with my own money and it makes me feel really independent :P.

Don't know if I have answered this yet but I don't really spend money on bags. I just love looking at all of yours.

I am saving up for a big trip. I just don't know where to. I don't have credit debt or a millionaire lover. I feel like my life would be a lot more complicated if I had either!!

I've been averaging 2 "high end" bags a year, but I suppose Coach isn't considered high end compared to the other types of bags people have on here! I also have 1 Balenciaga. I am 23, have a full time job, no debt, and pay off all of my credit cards in full. I just work hard and save alot, and when I want something, I make sure it's EXACTLY what I want and that I will love it 100%. Otherwise, I feel too guilty buying expensive things because I want to make sure I'll be able to pay for all of the other things I need to (buying a house soon!) without debt.

Perhaps if I make more money with a different job one day, as I plan on leaving the profession I'm in relatively soon, then I will be buying more expensive bags in the future. All in moderation for me

Currently, I have a side job. :)

I usually think "One bag a year!" What kind of bag, I do not know. I try to limit myself from staring at luxury goods I can not purchase. The most expensive bag I purchased this year was $175, the most expensive wallet $125 (both w/ shipping).

I am in neither category and though I do have a wonderful boyfriend, we are not financially stable (still in school) to purchase anything big yet.

I'm in my mid 20s and I just crossed over to buying luxury items. I make a pretty good living, but a lot of my paycheck actually goes into funding my 401K and soon a Roth-IRA. I've recently cleared all my credit card debts so I think I may not be purchasing big ticket items for a while (at least I hope not to). My holy grail is a chanel classic flap but I need to save $$$$$$ for that, and I have a feeling that by the time I save up all that money, I may not even want to spend it on a purse

No debt and no millionaire lover....yet. At the moment, my source of funding is my oh so generous father.

I've gotten 7 bags so far this year.

No upscale designer handbags and no debt. I do have plans to save up for one next year.

I’m in the early 30’s and single. Currently I am a marketing executive with a steady income. I have a method of financing my addiction toward branded bags. I have three different saving accounts (just say, account A, B, C).
- Account A is for my daily transactions.
- Account B is for my investment (pension fund)
- Account C is for others
When I receive my monthly salary at account A, I directly transfer a fixed amount each to accounts B and C. For all my expenses, I only withdraw money from account A. When I have enough money at account C, it means SHOPPING TIME for me So far, this technique has been efficient. I have no credit card (and other) debts at all….
