Wow, what a great thread! I'm afraid to do this, but we'll see. I didn't go out today, so this was my lunch outfit yesterday:
Design History cashmere sweater from BlueFly, $50 Some random cream cami from Nordstrom Rack, $15 Charter Club Jeans from Macy's, $30 Cole Haan flip flops from Dillard's, $60 Hobo International clutch from Amazon, $20 LeSportSac wallet from Endless, $30 Pink coral necklace (free as this was a gift, but it doesn't carry a high retail value anyway) (Not counting wedding ring or sunglasses as I wear those everyday) Grand total: $205 Ok, I can live with that.

I think about this a lot. I also think about cost per wear a lot.
Jeans - $17 (thanks torrid clearance rack) Joe Strummer t shirt - $22 Old Navy flip flops - $5 Undies - Lane Bryant's 5/$25, bra $25 Leather Coach Carly - I paid $370 although that's not what it retails for (got it on PCE a year or so ago) The most expensive item on me on any given day is always my bag because I only have a couple and they're all around that price. I have no idea how much any of my jewelry cost because all of it was gifted to me. Also, being plus sized cuts down on clothing spending because I can only shop at like three stores

What a Fabulous Outfit....and it only cost.... Mine today is an anomoly for me, as almost everything that I buy is thrifted. Today, I am actually wearing a MW top for H&M that I paid OVER retail for. Givenchy Jacket - $500 Old Stockings - $5 Christian Louboutin Insectikas - $180 on sale Fendi Skirt - $180 on sale Banana Republic shirt - $20 YSL Muse II Handbag - $450 ebay Rayban Wayfarers - $80 sale Chanel Wallet - $650 CK Undies - $30 American Apparel cami - $8 Total - $2103 Gosh I hope I don't fall into the toilet today. As said earlier though - I don't feel too bad about the expensive items because I do use my handbag, sunglasses and wallet every single day. I also wear my Givenchy jacket every single week. |

On a daily basis, the most expensive things that I wear are my glasses (I paid an obscene amount for the frames + nice lenses) and jewelry (gifts from family). Excluding those things, my handbag is usually the most expensive thing that I wear/carry. Today:
James Perse dress $70 JCrew black leather knee-high boots $110 Botkier Christie satchel $200 Hayden Harnett clutch wallet $90 Like much of my wardrobe, today's clothes & bag were bought on sale. :) |

I'm lounging around at home right now, but will be heading to a Twins vs. Red Sox game in a couple hours. Just about everything in my wardrobe was on sale/clearance... I don't often buy regular priced items, unless it is something that never goes on sale.
