GUCCI_COOCHIE'S 90-day ban!

Ok, I've been so out-of-control these past few months and it's finally catching up to me! I just realized I will need to start paying for school out of my own pocket in a few months, plus I am in desperate need of a new car.

I haven't thought about those necessities at all, which is why I have been spending SO MUCH; beyond my means.

Just last week, I've ordered two Gucci wave hobos (I'm returning the color I like less) and my boyfriend has also paid for the LV Damier Neverfull. I also realized how crazy I was/am for bags. I called 16 different Gucci stores looking for a bag! & many many Saks/Nordstroms for a MBMJ clutch. I felt like a shop-a-holic suffering withdrawals when I couldn't find the damn things!

This is not to mention other bags/clothes/shoes I've bought lately. A lot of the things I buy usually just sit in my closet for a few months. So it really is a waste of money (at least for awhile). I must focus more on the things I need and not the things I want.

I was focusing on paying off all my bills for awhile, but this sale season definitely got the best of me. So my plan is to STOP SHOPPING COMPLETELY, FOCUS ON PAYING OFF MY BILLS, & SAVE MONEY FOR THE THINGS I NEED. I am also going to write down EVERY penny I spend which will mainly be on gas, food and bills.

I definitely need to stay away from tPF because I only started buying [expensive] handbags when I joined! I guess I will just BROWSE and not take "Deals & Steals" seriously.

Sorry for the rant, but I need words of encouragement! I CAN DO IT! (can't I?)

Whenever my urges feel a little out of hand, I stay out of the designer handbag forums. A little focus on other things usually help.

Oh, but avoid the jewelry forum if you know what's good for you. I made that mistake and I'm now looking for some nice stud diamond earrings. And a tennis bracelet. lol!

Gucci me too!!! With all the sales I feel like my spending has gotten way out of control and I'm buying things that I dont even really want...damn sales - that's what they do to you!

I'm on a ban too..at least until fall for major purchases (such as bags and such). Shoes is a different story...and can't ban target. Love target, they have everything.

), it's terrible the first week or so, but after that, it gets easier with every passing minute until you don't even think about buying purses anymore! Well, sorta.

You can totally do it!! Especially if you keep yourself busy.

About 60 days ago, I put myself on a 30 day ban for mostly clothing since I don't buy handbags often. And I still haven't purchased anything!!
It was hard at first, but then it got to be like normal for me NOT to buy things.

I've been thinking lately that since the official ban is up, I can go shopping again, but I am kind of proud of myself for saving $.

It's really not as hard as it seems, and it's much easier if you see how out of control you have gotten. (That's why I went on a ban, because I saw how ridiculous my spending was becoming).

I am on a ban too.

I have other expenses in the summer that I don't have in the winter.

So my ban is:

-Not buying or even pre-ordering any bags before september
-Looking for clothes at low or sale prices and paying cash
-Paying off credit cards (they are not too high at all, but I want them down to zero)
-Coming home for lunch sometimes at work instead of eating out
-Cooking at least one nite on weekends in my summer house instead of always eating out
