Default Deverstated.....where do I go from here????
First want to apologise if I have not put this thread in the right place, also I know in the whole big scheme of things this might not seem very important, but I am deverstated and cannot stop crying just want some advice and what do I do now????

I live in the UK and for over 1 year been trying to sell my house. Had 2 buyers which have fallen through. Now on my 3rd buyer have been for the past 2 months. The place I am buying, the seller has been waiting for me and that has been stressful as had a lot of issues to sort out, which have now been sorted. So I am thinking everything going to be OK now and we were meant to exchange contracts next week. My buyers are being re-located they are high up in the Bank and the Bank was buying their property so it was meant to be a quick sale. They have just come back from holiday and have informed me they now have a private buyer who can pay an extra £20,000 for their place, but its going to take another 12 weeks for that to go through, so theirs a chance now I will lose my dream home as my sellers I do not think, will wait any longer. I can understand they wanted more money for their place, wouldnt we all, but have already drop my house price by £100,000 and drop another £10,000 just for them as they was quick buyers. I could have left it on the market and sold it another 3 times while I have been waiting for them, perhaps at a higher price. I needed to be in my new home by winter as theirs no heating or double glazing and it had to be completely re-done.
I am so upset about all this, have lost a stone in weight and considering only weigh under 8 stone anyway, this is a lot of weight for me to lose, also now on tablets from the doctor because of the stress.
So sorry this is long, with me rambling on but I am deverstated, dont know if to hang on to my buyers and hope my sellers waits, but frighten they are going to muck me about even more, or do I put it back on the market.
My House is in such a mess as boxed up and ready to go. I have lived here for 25 years, so its a big thing me moving, only moving because had a car accident a while ago and this was an eye opener for me.
Any advice greatly received again sorry this is long.

Sorry to hear you are going through this. I have a house on the market and stress every day about it selling. I really hope an offer comes in soon.

Weren't there conditions on the offer to purchase your home that the buyers have to meet? I would think they can't just go and change things just because they now have a different buyer for the place they are selling. Did you have a signed offer to purchase from them that you accepted in writing?

Maybe things work differently in the UK??

Thanks Lit and bnjj.

Bnjj you have an offer in writing but nothing is binding in the UK until you exchange contracts. We was all ready to exchange this week, but my buyer now has a higher offer on their place which they want to accept which means like you are back to the start again. In the UK the average time to buy/sell a house is 12 weeks. This is going to delay everything and theirs a good chance I can lose the house I want to buy while waiting for my buyers. So do not know if to put it back on the market to get a higher price for my property or wait for my buyers to catch up and hope the person I want to buy from waits.
