Hi Teja - hope your family emergency works out - sometimes things like that put us back into perspective a bit; I've had a question on a medical issue come to me and it's kind of making me look at things slightly different too...and it is frustrating that WE are bailing out some of these companies but who will bail US out?? Enough said!! Hoping we all have a good week....

DH got on my case about spending after watching Dr. Phil's show yesterday with me (why did he come home early??) -- oy.....

Hey sistahs, yes, watching the Dow roller coaster & economy in general has put a damper on my spending. I still love to look and try on, and I feel bad b/c the sales ladies probably work on commission and they really want you to buy something, but I just can't right now. I went to the mall last weekend and returned more than I bought! Hope everybody is doing well...

Evening all...rolling up the stairs to bed and had to stop in...

Tejas...best wishes for good news on Dad...thinking of you. Love petrol also...just watching 401K all around hit bottom isn't conductive to feeling like shopping...even for groceries! Don't get me going on that trainwreck of a congress...

Shoes...can't catch a break even watching TV can you???

Don't get me going on the economy...Ugh...ssmama I know a lot of people have it bad now and even with the "bailout" the world seems to be tanking...hoping things bottom and start upward soon...feel terrible for those in most sales position right now!

Flora...purse forum is bad when we're trying to be good....

Lee...l hope you returned Prada...did you?

Anybody watching the Housewives of Atlanta show tonight??? OMG...talk about Over the top spending.... Good laugh anyway...needed some diversion...the debate was more of the same and I won't even get started on that subject...

Night all!

LOL DL!! l Yes last night I started with the Housewives show...then dh came in..switched to the debate and finally he said I could watch what I wanted - have to say I prefer to watch it ALONE!!! It was fun though the bits I saw...and yes the money flowing - wow!! Lv's....did you see the cake?? How funny!

Okay back to money and being good - somehow all this talk on the news makes it so front and center it makes it easier to think about being good? Or is it from my fun Boston weekend that I'm feeling I can hang on for a bit perhaps?? Time will tell...I am down to 5 daily bags...and feeling very content...however, if dh said I could get one for Christmas well I wouldn't say no!! Like that would happen lol!!!

Yep. Saw the Housewives show, and I thought it was entertaining. Is it "real" though? Or are they just putting it on for show is what I am wondering.

DL: What debate? Sheesh......lol.

At this point, i am not sure if it will make a difference to the economy in regards to whomever getting elected. We are stuck at this nasty place for a while. I do believe that it will bounce back, but how long is the question. In the meantime, retirement account is taking a pounding. Well, the bright side is that the dollar is finally moving up agains the Euro, so maybe 10 years from now, when I am ready for the H, it will be "cheaper" by the exchange rate. Hey, got to have something to look forward to during this financially miserable time!

Hey ladies just wanted to check in! Hope you are all doing well!!

I was a seriously bad girl in Boston getting an Hermes scarf and a Cartier watch...but no bags!! of course this was before the market fell apart -- LOL. Now I'm on a serious shopping ban for the rest of the year except for buying gifts for other people.

It looks like I've sold one bag and two clutches in consignment!! So now I have four bags in consignment and another two I plan to give to consignment soon. I just have way too many bags and would rather spend funds on things I will really use (like my new watch!!) or save.

jayjay - I don't agree that you were a "bad" girl at all! You had thought about the watch for a long while....you got a DEAL on it getting rewards and points and all those extra goodies! Plus it's from a reliable store in case you have any problem....and a scarf -- geesh!! That's pretty good -- you were only "bad" in the carrying a gorgy bag and influencing one of us gals to dive in for the same look lol!!! And way to go on consignment!!! I sent another box yesterday...and already have $100 in my quarterly account there from my last box sent....I know not much overall but if I make a couple of hundred every quarter it's something towards my spending anyway.....also I have sold a couple of more items around "here" so that is very motivating and I have made up for about half of my new Chanel bag....yay! One day I will learn to save first and then buy...instead of doing it backwards like I do lol!!!

Ms. Tejas, hope everything is well with your family. You're in my thoughts...and for another reason...you need to stop me from ordering 10 bags from BE! Jackie has authorized individual bespokes and now I want everything under the sun!

Hi ladies! Hope you are well. Jayjay, show us the watch and scarf!

I know I feel sorry for everyone who works on a commission right now. I'll bet they're hurting. I keep wondering what things will be like this time next year. Will we be on the road to recovery? Will we be in the middle of a depression? Will I still have my job?

I listened to PBS on the way home tonight. Scary how this is starting to affect the whole world. I listened to an excerpt of a speech by Gordon Brown basically saying the mess that started in America is now affecting their lives and livlihoods, a French economist (Blanchard) talking about how Europe should have taken action earlier - he thinks things will begin to get better by the end of next year, but the problem is so massive that we won't see anything for awhile. Amazing what greed and stupidity can do.

Anyhoo - hugs, I hope you and yours, and all my BBBC sistahs come through this okay.

But on a happy note, all that money that we could have invested in the stock market if we hadn't bought purses - guess what? The owner of those stocks have nothing and we have inventory!

While in Boston we strolled by the Coach store and I saw some cute bags in the window. I think I'll go check them out IRL this weekend. I still need a good everyday bag, and want it to be stylish but not cost a fortune, kwim? I will be so happy if I can find a bag I love that is not over 1K!

I know what you mean about the bespokes! I have an MMS midi coming but I'm not ordering anything else. It's hard because they are all so gorgeous, but I don't need anything else. They are all lovely and wonderful, but I have my LM and Midi and I am so happy with those already. I'm trying hard to keep my mindful hat on right now! Hang in there, sister!

^^^thanks Tejas. I really want to order a WTM midi in dark gray matte, so to even it out I am going to send more to Ann (AFF) and when I get the nerve to sell on the Bay I will do so.

Saying hi to my BBBC sistahs and hope everyone is spending well!

I went to Cabazon this weekend and bought a magenta/purple guccissima medium Abbey tote for $549. I really like it but I definitely wasn't expecting to buy a purple Gucci!

I also loved the Princy black guccissima clutch wallet for $299 but restrained myself although I'm wanting it now.

Happy Monday BBBC sistahs!

Big congrats, G-Beagle! That is one hot purple tote at a great price too! I saw a pelham in the guccissima leather with this shade of purple and it was gorgy, but the pelham was $2k, so you def got a great deal! Wear her in good health, and hopefully everyone is doing well.
