Default Anyone else a Coupon clipper?

I started clipping coupons and have found it to be VERY fun as well as it helps with SAVING $$$ and also getting to try new products at a lower price. Sometimes you even get free stuff too!

Is anyone else a coupon clipper?

I tend to have too much fun every Sunday & over clip even with the ones I don't think I'll ever redeem.

But besides that, I had a Q too..

Is anyone "too ashamed" to use coupons?

I have to admit, besides the fact that its MONEY SAVING & exciting, I feel awkward when I hand the cashier a "few" coupons to redeem. Do you guys judge people who use coupons? I think I feel this way b/c there was a time where this dude was behind me in line & stared at me like it was a BAD thing. So from then on, I always felt like I had to find the line that was the shortest & hope that the process goes by quick & smooth without anyone seeing me. Or I would just only use 2 or 3 coupons and no more than that.

Input , please.

Me neither! I need to start clipping again but I cancelled the newspaper between moves and never renewed it! I know it really adds up.

If I had a larger household, I would definitely clip coupons. I spend no more than $20 on groceries per month, and I can't justify spending like $3 on a Sunday newspaper and save maybe like 50c.

Just do whatever you feel right. I bring my own reusable grocery bags and I get looks all the time. So what!?

Coupons here are pretty much useless, otherwise I would probably do it. It'd definately not something to be ashamed of!

I occasionally clip coupons, but my DH usually is really quick to throw the Sunday newspaper inserts away....even before I get up. On the rare chance that I do get to cut them out, I love it! I feel like I'm getting a deal and that the grocery store (that I hate and loathe) with all my being gets less money.

I'm a huge coupon clipper, rebate redeemer, sale maven. And I get very excited when things are already on sale and I have a coupon for an additional amount off! Hubby sometimes makes fun of me (he always asks if something was on sale and if I had an additional coupon) but he knows I'm saving money so he doesn't care!

OMG I clip coupons all the time! In fact I consider it a personal challenge to see how much I can save at the grocey store each time. Sometimes (not sure how or why) a coupon gets a "bonus" and is doubled or tripled. Makes my day.

I also use the Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens & Things 20% off coupons regularly. Why the heck not? The way I figure it...10 bucks here, 20 bucks there...next thing you know, you've saved enough to justify shelling out for a great bag or sunnies!

As far as I'm concerned, it is a game - how little can you get away with spending.
Needless to say, stores hate me. Or love me, and tolerate my eccentricities :)
I have a hard time with grocery coupons - I don't really get papers, but I have grocery store bonus cards, and the UPromise tied in with those. I don't need it for myself - but I figure I can gift it to cousins or children when I have them. And I adore the after Thanksgiving sales. :) What a fun way to get into trouble!

I love bargains. Yet, I find that the danger of bargains (including coupons) is purchasing things that I do not need. How many items (clothing, grocery, and etc. etc.) I have in my closets, cabinets, pantries are sale items that were bought long ago, unopened or still have price tags on them?

An analogy is buffet. I stopped going to buffet long ago, because I cannot afford the exta calories, do not want to hurt my stomach, and do not want to wake up all night bothered by excessive acids in my stomach.
