OK. so I just dampened a kleenex and rubbed it on a few color shades on the bottom of my bag. Nothing ran or came off! maybe this will console us......or maybe a downpour is a diff story??!! i want all of us to be happy and secure with our Fairy bags and not threatened by weather...!

oh help...its so gorgeous i feel like its the Sistine Chapel ceiling on my shoulder, and it cannot get ruined...just cannot! :s

MY SA emailed me and said the Prada SA's were made to get inserviced about these bags. She said they WILL BLEED as the ink will not tolerate a downpour or bad weather. They WONT refund u either should it happen..So I personally wouldnt buy a bag for 2000 that would be ruined in rain.I think its insane that the product would do that, and is NOT refundable!

Ah the Prada store I bought it at told me they will refund people with bleeding bags, I called them after I read all the info on the runnnig paint. They also said it takes a LOT of water for this to happen.

If anything happens to my bag and they refuse to do anything about it, they will learn all about the New York Commercial Code. Never piss off a lawyer.

oooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Jill hon, i freaked when i read your post but now feel a tad better

i think i will go in to Saks and ask Victoria the Divine and Helpful (my SA) to write on my receipt "refund if ruined by inclement weather"

and Restricter, you could head up the first class action lawsuit against a designer bag company for bleeding colors - heading would read:

Plaintiffs: tPF Prada Fairy bag owners
Defendant(s): ______________ (whatever store you bought it from) and Muccia herself

yes, we'll sue 'em, and also make the AMA aware of a brand new psychiatric condition known as "Prada Fairy Bleed Syndrome", in which the only cure will be meds in the form of a waterproof bag. So, girls, we will come out triumphant no matter what.......

I tried wetting a small spot on the bottom of the bag. Nothing happened. I will try to post some pics tomorrow or monday. My DH doesn't get it. Has a huge fight over this bag. He thinks that I should just use it and stop obsessing over it. He says that I annoy him until I get it and then once I have it I knit-pick every detail of the bag. He said that its not returnable so just use it, enjoy it. So I dumped all the contents of my Bbag into the "fairy" this morning and headed to the mall. The delicate fairy was treated like a bag. She sat on Starbucks counter, fitting room floor, the car floor and is now sittin on top of the big screen tv.

I called my SA yesterday after I picked up my bag. I was expecting a different lining color, I got a light rose pink. I was told that they are making more to meet the demand (?????) I thought that they were very limited! I also noticed that the putty or sealent on the handles was a little cracked - right out of the box. The SA called me back this morning, but we were already out for the day. She said that that happens and knowing that I had called had another bag set aside for me. She checked that bag and it was the same way. She said that if it ever became really bad that they would repair it. My DH says that will happen by just using the bag & the sa agreed. One more thing, in the zippered pocket there is rectangular paint spot. It is odd, almost looks like sponge paint. Wierd, but I didn't dare show my DH.

I think that the bag is beautiful, and it definately got a lot of looks and compliments today! One thing, it seems like the leather is so thin that it could wear or flake off. I am sure that the corners prob won't wear well either. The handles ... who knows?? I think that they should have done a different construction on the corners and handles. Maybe reinforced them or even a diff leather on the handles.

I am using it! Knowing me, It will prob get used in bad weather too. If something is going to happen, I will just have to deal with it and Prada will have to deal with me!

Additionally, the bag comes with no disclaimers. Inside the bag there is no note about how to care for the artwork. There was no note on the receipt that had to be initialed or anything.

I also believe that the sales people are confused about these bags. Each sa says a different thing. some say use everyday, others no because it is artwork. If there are mass problems with these bags they are going to have to deal with it. I might as use it, if something is going to happen - it would be better to happen sooner than later! Esp. when dealing with Prada.

oh well...........hehe sleepless now (part of reason, prob, is worry over posssible Prada bag bleeding and bad weather rebellion), so am gonna go sleep in guest room with bag, admiring it as i drift off. A fairy tale before sleep...ahhhhhh! how charming

PS if i bring it to bed with DH in our bedroom, he might be spooked upon waking and think its a kid's whimsical lunchbox, since his imagination won't stretch so far as being able to conjure up an accessory like this......and also since his Prada accessory is a simple black wallet (from me, last year )

PS I seriously feel about this bag like i felt about my first Barbie doll.......

PPS oh, re: writing on the receipt that if anything happened to bag, the store would be forced into foreclosu ---
------i mean, would take it back, wouldnt have to be in a specific place on the receipt, Luv2Liv, just boldly on there, somewhere roflmao
