I already did, but my Prada SA mngr told me if bag runs return it for money back.
Aargh it makes me mad that people that don't like the bag, want the bag are saying "what they heard will happen if the bag runs". I have the bag and have no doubt that if my runs, the store I purchased it at will refund my money, no questions asked. With this in mind, I still plan on caring the bag with TLC as I love it and would rather not have to return it. And with that said I think anymore discussion about what we know or don't know about Fairy bag returns/refunds should end. don't we all agree? |

I understand what your saying and agreed. But I just want to make a note to you that everyone has different SA's so its quite possible that your SA's is wrong just as your implying that my SA's in wrong. Please keep in mind that this an open forum. We all can give our opinions on what infomation we have. I also wanted to note that you still didn't answer my question , when you stated that I don't own the bag. You should NOT assume anything. |

I didn't say you don't own the bag Biondina, please refer back to my original post. I don't want to get into a pissing match with you. As stated earlier I think we should just let that whole thing die down. This is about a handbag, not someones life/family or anything of real importance.

ooookkkkkkk??!lets not bicker guys!!Its just a bag!!!!!
ACTUALLY...My SA did say that once a customer was warned about the delicate nature of the FAIRY bags(prior to the purchase)..They would NOT accept returns at their store.I think different stores will honor the return but NOT ALL STORES.SAD,But true. Its a shame...but i guess as long as u love the bag and r very careful with it....itll be fine. |

Okay, Prada acknowledges that had a production problem with this bag. I am getting the $ returned to my cc. This is the short story. I will post the long story next.

I do really love the bag. I received so many compliments for the short time that I used it. When I saw the small spot in the bag this morning, it was so upsetting. I knew it would only get worse with more use - and I had planned this as an everyday bag. $2500 is a lot of $ for a bag that I can't use often, and that is not the type of lifestyle that I lead.
On a side note, I barely used the bag in the short time that I had it and was really babying it. One of the corners was already showing signs of wear. The glossy printed leather actually came off at that corner. There were also a few small spots that looked as if the bag was flaking - looked kind of scaley. I really tried to ignore all of this, but the dye thing really pushed it over the top for me. So, I called Prada Manhasset to let them know that I am coming in with my bag that the color ran in one small spot. I wanted to be sure that there would be a manager there and that I wasn't dragging 2 small kids there for nothing. Every time that I have called the Manhasset store, I get the impression that they don't want to be bothered. I know the return policy and was afraid that they would not refund my $. My DH works too hard to throw away $2500. I also didn't want store credit as I usually don't buy Prada and there was nothing else that I wanted. Before I went to the store, I took pictures of the bag and printed some of the posts about the bag running and returns. I also brought the FedEx tracking to prove that I did not get the bag until Friday. I went with all my ammo. When I met with the manager, she was nice. She asked if that small mark really bothered me. I told her yes, since I had only owned it for 3 days. She offered an exchange, but I told her no - not if the bag is like this. I would prefer the $ to be returned to my cc. She then told me that she had already spoken to the Madison Ave store manager and let them know about the bag since I purchased it from them. She said that she had to transfer it to the Madison Ave store and that they had to ring the return to my cc. She wrote a note that she took the bag and was sending it to Madison for a cc refund. She then lowered her voice and told me that the fairy bags are defective. She said that due to the demand, they rushed production and they were not sealed correctly. Then the SA that i had orig. wait-listed with came over and asked me what happened. I explained the whole thing. She said that they had only become aware of the problems a few days ago and that they had a meeting about the bags. She said that there will be no more deliveries of the fairy until the problem is fixed. It will be put back in to production, in the same styles. The next delivery of fairies will be the new corrected bags. They do not know when they will come though. She asked me if I was interested and I (of course) said yes - but I would have to see it in person first to decide. I asked what will be done differently, she said that it will be properly sealed like their other bags. She said that Prada is considered Luxury leather and that if you treat it will it will last and look good for a long time to come. She said that she would call when they are in. So I hope to see the $$ returned to my cc in a few days. It will take 2 days to get to Madison and will be processed then. As for another fairy ... we will have to wait and see. |

I am so glad they admitted this problem and agreed to issue you a refund. I hope Prada will fix this quality control problem quickly and effectively. They should not let this Fairly Bag ruin their reputation.
