I finally got the vintage hobo I'ev wanted from eBay, but something striked me. It is tagged "made in Turkey"?

Does Miu Miu carry bags made in Turkey? Help!

I have a MIU MIU BOW Satchel in Alluminio, I purchased it from Saks5thAve. and it is Made in Turkey. It's normal, just because it's not from ITALY I dont think it degrades the bag..

Thank you. I also did call the boutique. Forgive me, I'm so new with Miu Miu bags and didn't know they do made lots of them in Turkey. I got myself scared for a minute there.

Hehe, it's alright

When I first fell for MIU MIU, and my first purchase was my bow, I got scared of my MADE IN TURKEY tag also. Sounds less fancy than ITALY huh? Haha, but since I got it from Saks, I figured they wouldn't ever sell a fake, and I also asked THIS forum, there's so many helpful smart gals

Most designer bags are sourced out to Turkey nowadays. (I believe Prada is still made in Italy but please correct me if I'm wrong.) Not going to sugarcoat it but Miu Miu is considered to be more economical in the luxury handbags category. But to be honest, if you like the bag for its individual design, texture, quality, and style, does it matter where its country of origin is? Of course, there are people who do covet handcrafted luxury as well (read: Hermes). But as long as you have fun with your bag, the bag complements your style, and the price doesn't make you wince too much, who cares!

My fumo bow satchel and mid night blue spring satchel were made in Italy. But my black coffer "made in Turkey"..... Info...

Authentic coffers and some other Miu Miu & Prada bags are also made in Turkey. If you search previous posts, you can find threads about this :)
