Glad it worked out! But I can't believe that she said that their competitors don't use real leather, that's ridiculous.

On the mk losing a customer note -I bought a Michael Kors bag a few weeks ago. Accidentaly my perfume splashed once inside the bag. This happened to go through the fabric and then the leather. Now the bag is ruined and has a gigantic stain. I understand it was my fault, but I cant imagine how bad quality this is that for one splash it filters through to the outside part of the bag??
Is this normal? To make matters worse, the color of the leather came off and stained my clothes.
HELP! Please any advise is welcome!
Thanks.

i am experiencing exactly the same thing now. I just bought a MK bag and the night I got back I realized the handle part is already splitting. I called the store, not only the sales person refuse to give me the store manager name she also claimed that the brand new bags should have the split of the handles, that's just the material. Does anyone know what number should I contact, I am in ottawa, canada.

so after 30 min, the sales person finally give me the store manager name and told me she is on vacation and won't be back until July 18th. She also gave me a fake number to call which is very stupid cause I can just simply find the store number online. despite all these, I emailed the canada.customerservice@michaelkors.com, I also sent them the pictures. I am still waiting for reply

I do think this kind of leather does the cracking thing...I'm not sure if MK should continue using leather like this cause they just have too many problems and don't last long. I personally don't like it and don't own one but some friends do and had the same problems

if it is brand new bag, i don't think you will have an issue. i think it because they sold me a used one that's pissing me off...anyway i contacted the customer service and they exchanged one for me...

That's out of order if they sold you an used bag without telling you? Good luck with the new one

bunbun2011, i think it's the patent leather that cracks a lot. I used to have a patent satchel (it wasn't MK though) and it was fine in the beginning but after awhile, it started cracking, i think it's just inevitable with the patent leather. But I'm been having a similar issue with the MK store. I recently purchased the hamilton a couple weeks ago and requested one from the back (anytime i purchase shoes or bags, i always request one from the back where it's still wrapped and no one has ever touched them). I didn't think to inspect it to see if there were any scratches so i just bought it and brought it home. As i was looking at it, i noticed two scuff marks on the handles. Three days later, i go back to exchange it (requested from the back again) and EVERY SINGLE ONE that they brought out to me, there was always something wrong with it, may it be more scuff marks, or black marks, or defected leather (i'm super picky too). i actually had to look at like 4-5 different ones to see which ones were the LEAST defected..isn't that sad!? 2 different people had to help me because the first one got tired of me lol. and whenever i noticed the leather was weird, they kept on saying, "oh it's like that, it'll be normal after you use it".. i mean, i DID purchase it at an outlet store but i would expect the quality and care for these handbags to be the same as any other retail store. If I am going to drop at least $300 on a bag, i expect it to be perfect, am i right or am i right? Sigh, I feel so much better after having said that, whew!!

Actually they have a new manager now - not much better. Very standoffish.

i am not sure i should say this here, cause everyone here loves MK. but yes, for my pink bag, i had to go through 4 bags to find that does not have scratches or wrinkles. i am not sure why, although i do love my new pink leather bag very much, but i highly doubt that i will buy from mk again...
