Whatever MK line it's from, 24 hours old and already cracking-up is unacceptable.

It took my Billy Bag a full 3 days before the handles broke

How rude! I've never purchased a MK bag, but recently visited a boutique where the SA's were the friendliest I have ever met in a store. I'm sorry to hear their bags dont hold up well, my mother just bought one for her birthday and is thrilled with it - I hope it doesnt fall apart on her!

While I've never owned an MK bag, I have admired them from afar and from what I can tell, they seem to be decently made. I think this is an isolated incidence that should have been addressed immediately but wasn't handled correctly. I feel confident once corporate gets hold of this matter, they will make our OP feel very comfortable!

oh, I can not even imagine how furious you must be about the attitude. I'm appalled just by reading through everything. Very nice to hear that someone from corporate took you seriously and quickly and it sounds like they are going to rectify the problem.

Orporate just called me back they said my bag is too old to do a refund and also this manager had an excellent reputation and she thought my email was kinda funny when they read it to her so basically nothing

^^ really? that's crazy! Did you by chance snap any photos of all of the damages on the bags? At least take some of the current one.. it's not that old, is it??

I would try again and email / mail higher up people with pictures. If nothing works, try sending it to the consumerist.com

They actually told you the manager thinks it's funny? That's incredibly insulting and unprofessional on the part of both the manager and whoever relayed the info at corporate.

I would stop emailing and write actual letters detailing everything that's happened, especially including the condescending comments.

I have about four mk purses and I never had a problem with any of them.

Was this purchased with a credit card? If so, call your card company and explain the situation. They will sometimes back you up if you aren't totally satisfied with your purchase (how long you have to file a complaint and what it covers varies with different cards).

I agree with others who have stated that it sounds like both the manager and the person from corporate are behaving unprofessionally. No matter how "funny" they think any customer complaint is, it's really rude (not to mention stupid) to let the customer know that.

You'd think with a complaint about materials that corporate would at least want to see photos - or the bag itself - to determine the problem.

I think if you go back, or call the store and deal with this manager, record the conversation, and if she is that rude again, send it to corporate asap. That is just unacceptable, and no bag should fall apart that fast!

i can't imagine a corporate office calling a customer and telling you that your issue is funny.

do everything in writing, don't call them.

i've never heard of a company that doesn't address poor treatment by their staff, as well as stand behind their product.
