How did extracting your wisdom teeth go? My dentist wants me to have them out but I'm worried I'm a little too old (38) to have it done and I'll have a much harder time with it then if I had it done in my 20's. I should have had it done in my 20's but I didn't have dental insurance then.

Your face will likely puff up for a few days, and you will probably not want to eat a lot until the "sockets" (ick) heal. Great weight loss technique, if you ask me. Ha! My honest advice is to get them removed if a medical professional advises you to do so. I had horrible headaches until mine were extracted. Now, my headaches revolve around credit card bills.

^^LOL! You know the funny thing is my wisdom teeth NEVER bother me. They bothered me only mildly like 10-12 years ago. No headaches or anything - mostly just a little soreness in the gum area.

I've read that if they haven't bothered you by now, then it may not be necessary to have them out. My dentist told me though if I wait and they end up bothering me when I'm older, then the complications can be more severe. Ugh...I'll probably have them out over Christmas break or next summer.

Forgive my gross-ness, but my wisdom teeth were impacted and were pushing against my regular teeth. Thus, had they not been removed my teeth would have been pushed into a jumbled state. To relate this to handbags, had they not been removed, I would have had to spend money on another set of braces and would not be able to purchase MJ handbags today.

^^Hee, hee...don't worry. You didn't gross me out. Thanks for the info. Will you come take care of me if and when I have them out?

Of course! Let me know when. Please be aware, however, that I might zonk you out with pain pills and hit the TX shopping areas and snag all the sales while you are asleep. Sounds like your shopping opportunities are much better than mine!

OMG, I love soon tofu!! Let's go get some! BCD is always good for me, or any mom and pops place. That stuff is comfort food, great for wisdom teeth(as long as it's mild).

Oh no! I hope you don't have to get them removed... for me, it really wasn't that bad. I had to get mine removed because it was getting inflamed to the point that my jaw wasn't moving anymore.. doh! The procedure itself was painless since I was anethesized. Afterwards I got to take the day off, sit on the couch, have the hubby wait on me, and watch movies all day while taking painkillers. Really not bad at all!
