I remember that jingle. LOL I am about 25 minutes south of Allentown. We are almost neighbors.

(for those of you who reside outside of the NY metro area; the "beautiful Mt.Airy Lodge" was a commercial jingle that you got hammered with from the 60's through the 80's. LOL!!

I am really not enjoying my job much these days as a lot of my work is forclosure. I really enjoy snooping through other people's homes to get decorating tips. It is a great job when the homes are nice and in nice neighborhoods. Unfortunately that is not always the case. In my free time I tutor adults in basic reading and English. I'm also a foster mom for a cat rescue and help now and then with a Greyhound Rescue ( I have 3 Greys). The rest of the time I am either curled up with a good book or here on TPF spending all my money on MJ deals.
Cindi - we have much in common, I do transport for animal rescue (last summer I drove 10 cats in the back of my Lexus RX, good times), and I have 2 dogs, a Shetland Sheepdog and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, who is certified in obedience. Last summer we got her CGC and TDI certification, and she is now a therapy dog. I take Polar to nursing homes, the residents love her, and she loves visiting with them.

I love Greys! I hope to be owned by one someday. Gorgeous, gentle creatures, so beautiful.

My DH, my dogs (and cat, but don't tell her I said that) and my MJs keep me sane... my job is stressful, I'm a legal assistant for 2 partners at a global real estate investment company. We live in Southern Connecticut, near the Long Island sound. It's close enough to NYC so I can get my theatre fix (I'm a Broadway baby), but far enough that we go home to a nice quiet neighborhood.

Cindi! I just adopted my first greyhound through a rescue agency in West Memphis, Arkansas 3 months ago! He is a WONDERFUL dog, although his brother (a very BOSSY boston terrier) constantly wants to play with him when all he wants to do is sleep and cuddle!

You're right Gypsy we do have a lot in common! I can't imagine transporting 10 cats in the back of my Jeep. Nightmare. I also live in the sticks but I am only 45 minutes from Philadelphia so I can go there if I want to see a concert or show and come back home to quiet.

Burberry, Congrats on the adoption of your first Greyhound!!! I can imagine your other dog is much more active. Heck the couch is more active than the average Greyhound. You should check out GreyTalk.com It is all Greyhound talk all the time. LOL

Cindi, the funny thing about that transport was that the cats were all very quiet and peaceful, it was like they knew they were going someplace good. Their crates were stacked on top of one another, and it was quite a sight, one I will never forget.

:)

I sew and design for the family business, as well as deal with all the technical aspects. That includes online customer service , updating the website, and making sure there are no glitches...all on a daily basis, often every hour i have to check--it's why I'm always on the web! [of course I get my work done before tpf!] Fun stuff!
