I am a pharmaceutical rep in the specialty division of a Japanese company. I have been doing this for 10 years! The only problem is that I drive around in a car all day, so I miss all the good bags in the deal and steals thread! I am jealous of the lucky girls who can access their computers all day.

You should get an iPhone! From what I understand, you don't need wifi to connect to the internet - you can also use the data plan (minutes) to get access. (someone correct me if I'm wrong?)
We are stuck with Verizon for 10 more months and then we are switching to AT&T so we can get iPhones. (I know, we're lame).

Just stumbled across this thread and am sitting on my couch with my mouth hanging open!! What an amazing group of women!!
I've so enjoyed spending time here in the past few weeks and it's very cool to get a glimpse into your "real" lives. Thanks for making newbies feel so welcome! I don't have a PhD, I don't work at NASA, I don't have any Emmys...but I feel right at home here
I am currently a SAHM to a five month old daughter and a seven year old son. Before I had my daughter I was the director of a child care center and before that I did in home visiting as a parent educator working with children ages birth to three years (JAP4Life, I totally admire you!!). I've also done stints in finance as a bank manager and a mortgage broker but I missed kiddos too much and had to go back to early childhood! (Though the pay doesn't exactly lend itself to buying many designer bags!!)

Wow, it's so cool to learn what everyone does!

I'm a SAHM to a 17 mo daughter -- though I was an Editor (sometimes Writer) in my previous life -- but I love it! I always thought I'd go back to work right after having a baby, but I can't believe how rewarding being with my daughter is -- though it's MUCH harder work than "work" was...

Wow, I don't know how I missed this thread until now. We definitely have a varied assortent of women from all walks of life... just too cool.
As for me, I am a mom of 4 kids and a grandma of 1 little boy (who, I may add, the sun rises and rests on!!!)
In my past lifetime, I had graduated with an art degree and became a paste up artist at a local newspaper. I gradually advanced into an art director position with a media firm.
As for now, blame it on a mid life crisis or just plain reinventing myself, but I joined an international power tool company as a sales rep and TOTALLY LOVE IT!!! I work with men all day long and while I'm swinging an impact driver in one hand, I have my MJ MP in the other. (gotta have something that reminds me that I'm a girl!) I get to travel all over, demonstrate my product, build displays and meet all kinds of great people. The boys in my family certainly love the fact that I work for this company (free tools) and I am happy that I can buy all the bags that my closet can bear!
I love chatting with you all and I definitely look forward to when I can come back online to TPF.

I look forward to reading more of these posts and getting to know everyone on this forum!

Which school??

Hi Ladies, I haven't seen this one yet in this thread. I'm a residential Real Estate Appraiser. It is my family business and I have been doing this my whole life it seems. I am really not enjoying my job much these days as a lot of my work is forclosure. I really enjoy snooping through other people's homes to get decorating tips. It is a great job when the homes are nice and in nice neighborhoods. Unfortunately that is not always the case. In my free time I tutor adults in basic reading and English. I'm also a foster mom for a cat rescue and help now and then with a Greyhound Rescue ( I have 3 Greys). The rest of the time I am either curled up with a good book or here on TPF spending all my money on MJ deals.

Dawn- I live in the Poconos, 10 minutes outside of "beautiful Mt. Airy Lodge."
(for those of you who reside outside of the NY metro area; the "beautiful Mt.Airy Lodge" was a commercial jingle that you got hammered with from the 60's through the 80's. LOL!!
