Yea, it's the small Maggie in Taupe. I absolutely LOVE this color and the leather is TDF! Are you also a Chloe fan? Honestly, I'd never seen nor heard of this bag until yesterday -- a part of me feels bad for taking a deal away from Chloe fans (i know how I'd feel if a non-MJ lover took away an MJ bag I had been coveting!!) -- if one showed up at the NR in Chgo (who rarely gets deals like this!!), I bet it starts showing up at other NR stores.

To begin with, I spend all my money on bags so I don't have nearly as many NICE clothes!! Years ago, I almost lived in MbyMJ, but since I've been buying his bags, I haven't really bought many of his clothes recently (altho I do still wear MbyMJ from 2, 3 even 4 season ago!!) - Most of my clothes have come from Steve & Berry's (SJP's Bitten), Target (GO Intrn'l - I bought about 1/2 of the Jovovich Hawk line!!) and Kohl's (Simply Vera [Wang])!!! Not to mention that on my off days, I live in PINK sweats from VS!!!

ha ha ha! so true! if it wasn't for target's go and simply vera (and the jcrew sales and local sample sales for me) i would probably be walking around naked!!! lovely bag and glasses btw...

^^^LOL! That's the thing about Bitten and the GO lines -- you look completely current in up-to-date fashions, but have managed to save your $$ to spend on the higher priced bags!!! Who cares if the $10 Bitten top I bought last summer is worn out and/or out of style? I'll just buy myself a new one this summer!!!

I do the same thing with clothes. I won't spend tons of $$$ on clothes, but will spend my money on bags and, sometimes, shoes. I am really hard on shoes, though.

Ok, so most of you already know this, but I've cheated again
I couldn't help myself -- I saw this Chloe bag & it was love at first site (at least I'm consistent with who I cheat with!)! Some of you may have seen her in my signature -- up until a few days ago, I was "Dreaming of Heloise" -- now she's home & I'm in "Heaven"!! What I love about this bag are pretty much the same things I love about my MJ bags -- the color (which is a gorgeous shade of plum!), the leather (which is TDF & extremely -worthy!) and the details (how could you not LOVE those braided handles!!). So if you don't mind, please let me introduce you all to "Heloise"!! (the color, BTW is almost spot on perfect in these pics, esp in the 2nd one)

Oh, and BTW -- MJ is still my first and most important love & just so he wouldn't feel left out and/or neglected, I picked up a few MJ things recently (Keeping my Love for Marc Alive!)

there's lots of talk about how heavy Chloe's are in general (because they use such thick leather) -- I have a Paddington & I admit, when the lock's attached it can get a little heavy (but what's the point of carrying it w/o the lock??) -- a lot of people think the Heloise is way too heavy (I think someone in the Chloe forum weighed it & said 4 lbs empty), but IMO it's no heavier than my Stams, which I don't find heavy at all -- the more you load her up, the heavier she's going to be & with this being a larger bag, I'm sure I'll wind up overstuffing her, but I've used her all week & even went shopping today w/my granddaughter (you might remember that's when I discovered how impracticable the Hudson was) & didn't have any trouble at all -- it fits comfortably on the shoulder & the more you use it (and weigh it down with contents) the more the straps will stretch, so it's actually very easy to carry.

I just think it's a gorgeous bag & the leather is so wonderfully soft & smooshy and the color is unlike anything I already own. It's actually been a very popular bag this season (It was Nordstrom's Buyer's Pick this season!!)

We should make this a "common thread" for everyone to share their "cheater" bags -- I'm sure I'm not the ONLY one who's every strayed from Marc at least once!!! I'd love to see what other tastes that everyone has!!!
