I was thinking the same thing jen -- they actually had two of them. this is the one she said had been on display but was now in the back room (maybe because of the handles??) both bags had signs of wear -- the other one was scuffed, had worn corners and an ink mark on the front. The only reason I chose this one was because of the leather. It was so much softer than the other one (I really thought I could clean it up). I'm just hoping the new one is as soft as this one. But yea, I was very surprised to find a bag that worn at Nordstroms (but I guess when you factor in the hundres of people who probably look and handle the bags, some wear's to be expected)

shop - no, there's no magnetic closure under the front flap. Just a zippered pocket with the tassel pull.

thank iluv...i was thinking a magnet on the flap might make it cumbersome and less desirable...hahaha...

LOL! there's not a lot to make this undesirable! One touch of the leather and I was in love!

JJ, that is a cool bag! I love that trim. It sounds like you got a great deal, too. Can't beat that! I really like it. Congrats.

jj, you should call Saks off fifth.... they have your color mam at several locations for $301 right now. i got my black cat from the houston location.

Great MAM, Iluv! I was tempted by that color combo myself when I saw it in person - the grey is so versatile but then the edges give it a little pop! Congrats!

I did actually get one from Off Saks -- that's where I heard about the addtl 30% yesterday, but since I was heading to Nordstroms anyhow, I asked if they would match the price. I had put one on hold at the FLA Off Saks just in case, which I bought today (but for some reason, the Grey was only $269.90 w/30% off = $188.99!! the black and blue ones were the price you mentioned!!) I paid for overnight shipping (since there was no sales tax) so it should be here Tue - she swears that it's near perfect (she said they just came in on Fri & they came directly from RM), so we'll see -- I just hope the leather is as soft (otherwise I have some breaking in to do!!)

Iluv---That RM is really growing on me! The leather looks so smooshy soft like the Valentino Petale bag! And I love the color, grey is one of my favs!!

that's why I initially thought I'd just keep the one I had, but after talking to some of the girls in the RM thread and the SA at Saks in FLA, I decided to just get the one from down there -- it sounds like it's in good shape (at least the handles aren't all marked up), so no matter what I'll still have this bag at the same price (I actually returned this one today to another Nordies, but she's holding it for me just in case there's a problem with the one coming from FLA -- she actually said that if I don't come back for it, she's just going to NQC it since it's so badly "damaged" (she said that honestly, it probably shouldn't have been sold in the first place!))

Love your RM cheat. I am quite intrigued with the RM bags, but I do not know the styles and haven't really researched them. I like the green trim on your bag.

TT -- I had a couple of RM bags about 2 yrs ago (before I restarted my MJ-buying!). She uses wonderful leather. The Morning After Bag, is her "trademark" bag -- the one that started it all (named because of it's shape/size and ability to be carried overnight & the "Morning After"!! It even comes with a "business card" w/the image of a cute guy on it w/a handwritten name & number written on the back! When I first saw this (inside my first RM bag!), I thought it had been left in there by mistake, but it's actually part of the "gag"!!

) There are so many new styles now -- this particular bag is the Morning After Mini, which is a little smaller than the MAB I think the regular price of some of her bags is a little high, but when they're on sale and/or marked down (or when she has Sample Sales), I think they're GREAT deals! The leather is fantastic for the price!-

dbeth -- I'm not familar w/the bag you referred to, but I can tell you that yes, the leather on this bag feels a lot like Valentino leather (that really soft, plush leather!) RM does some FANTASTIC greys!

kmbot -- I've had my eye on this color for months now. I wasn't sure I liked the Fluro green at first, but the more I looked at it, the more I loved the contrast to the grey!

Sweet -- you got a RM? Did you post it? I gotta go back & look!

thx ro -- yea, I was VERY happy with the deal I got. It made cheating that less painful (it didn't dip too far into my "mj fund"!

No, I didn't post it. I just bought a wine MAM but it's very similar to my bordeaux alfred.

And I have to agree, RM does greys right! Dark grey is TDF!

Since you have one of each, do you prefer one size over the other?
