Love the Antha City Kara!! Bbags are definitely a nice change... How do you like the leather? I really like how lightweight it is, but sometimes it's not as soft and thick as MJ bags. Congrats on your first bbag! You made a good choice.

jesw1, I have a seller on ebay that I use whenever I order a new bbag.... I asked her to do a special listing for me on ebay so I could get the cashback. 25% off on top of her usual discount is a heck of a deal!

i was planning on buying a blue (marine?) from fall 08, but the one that i saw in a pic of the sample swatches that were posted awhile back was not released. either that, or the flash distorted the color and when i saw it irl, it wasn't what i expected at all. no bal for me this season.

^^ I absolutey LOVE it. And honestly, I think the leather is so lightweight it is refreshing. I honestly say to myself...wow...I've been missing out on all of this Balenciaga-goodness. I recommend these bags to anyone. For reference (the pictures above) I am 5'4" although I'm probably an inch or two taller b/c I have the worst posture :) I am 128 lbs.
My goal is to now sell off some of my duplicates and diversify my collection (ie: do i really need a small multipocket in oatmeal,peacock,thistle AND denim LOL)
I feel like I desperately want one or two things from F/W 2008 MJ, A Bottega Veneta and maybe another Balenciaga (with all the bags that I sell) and then I will feel well-rounded and hopefully a couple extra bucks in the bank. oH yeah, lol, maybe a LV Tivoli PM too...but I'm waiting to see if they ever make this style in the damier canvas :)

eta: The size of the city is PERFECT! It's actually smaller than I thought it would be. I think it's like the perfect size. If you are really TINY then maybe a First. They are cute too.
I really want a messenger balenciaga. They make really beautiful colored bags...ones that change color in different lightings which I LOVE about this one.

lovekooba & thithi you girls are killing me with the gorgeous pics of your bbags. I think that might be my next big bag purchase.....I've been stalking around the bbag forum, just looking & learning. I'm set on the Day, just need to nail down a color (loving the new Black Cherry)

Now I need to decide which bag to purge in order to fund the bbag purchase. I have a Chanel I NEVER use, so that might be it. I just can't part with any of my MJ.

Maybe it's sign to get the bbag since you both recently did.....

kooba I love that Bbag!! If you're gonna cheat on MJ, Balenciaga's the way to go!!

-- Just be careful -- if you thought MJ and Stams were addicting, it's VERY easy to become addicted to Bbags with all the different colors released each season. The soft leather and lightness of the bag make them a refreshing change of pace from MJs -- I have 2 and may someday add another (I used to have 3, but sold my Seafoam Twiggy when I got my Black City -- I know, what was I thinking?!)

You picked a gorgeous color for your 1st and the City (Medium) is the perfect size -- Congrats! I bet you can't wait to use her!

it may seem smaller, but you'll be amazed at how much you can fit in there -- I was able to fit a HC book in my Bbag along with my ZC and everything else and there was STILL room left over!

ditto that! I thought I would love marine but it's definitely not the same as pictured in the swatches.... it's more of a navy blue than the glacier blue I thought it was going to be. Oh well.

I'm happy with my Anthracite!

Oooooohh!! I would have totally gotten the BC Day if I didn't already own the Bordeaux City. You HAVE to get something in a red for balenciaga... it's an absolute collection MUST!! Go for it!!
