At the Glendale, CA NR they had 4 small multipockets and 2 berry blakes. They also had some silver woven styles too (i dont know the names)

i'm sorry i didn't get this until tonight! (been busy up the ying yang) - it was a customer event thingie that started at 8:30pm.

silly me, i thought i can just waltz in there and do my thang. i got there 5 minutes before it was scheduled to open and found the line from the front of the store all the way to the back and around the corner and then some by the time i got there! i've seen shorter lines at disneyland. however, once the line moved, it moved mightily fast. i dunno which of the ladies were from tpf, but there was a huge asian zoom in the general direction of purses and i was staring at the ravaged remains of mere carcases. i saw a silver daria in the hand of a woman (and it was the last one!) and i was holding on to the orange md e/w hobo and she was eyeing mine and i was ogling hers so i thought i'd just throw it in and suggest that if she wants mine, i'd be happy to switch with her silver one. well, her friend-therapist-daughter-maid-somethingoranother turned to me, grabbed the purse out of the other lady's hand, and said in a rather snippy way, "that's *my* purse." woah, back off, lady. you're not the only card carrying member of the estrogen faction.

anyhow, i walked out of the store with the denim daria with the gold hardware... i'm quite happy with it. have i mentioned already that i got the silver blake and the berry venezia on tuesday? i have issues.



what i did notice at the store was that i didn't think they got a whole lot of new mj purses in since i was there tuesday. perhaps they did get some other stuff for those who came early and stood in the rain, but the inventory didn't look much different. i saw a really cute yellow flowers on white background coated canvas slightly gathered cross-body bag from marc by marc jacobs, but that, along with the other mj bags, were also limited to 2 per customer. and really, i already have the yellow one from target's go international collection. luella? i think.

anyhow, by the time i left the store (10 to 10), there were a few bags hanging in the hold section, and the bags on the floor were mostly the metallic linen ones and a few berry multi. oh, and i guess the md e/w orange and the yellow marc by marc jacobs bags will be back on the floor too.

three marc jacobs in 6 days!!! what am i thinking!?

congrats! it's a great color!! well sometimes there'a just a period where all the fabulous great buys pop up in front of you and what are you suppose to do you know??? ignore them and walk away???

Which one did you got to? I went to the one in topanga and the line was crazy. I got there at 7pm so I was the third person in line. I knew it would get crazy last year people where fighting over the true religions( these were adults)

Sounds like a fun time was had by one and all (the bag addicts, I mean)! Enjoyed the story. Can't imagine the purse-mashing-mamas, though, I would have taken my stash and headed for the door straight-away (after paying of course). Wild bag women, gotta love 'em.

I think Neiman Marcus Last Call starts their sale on Wednesday ... does anyone know if they'll have different bags from NR? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trip ...

I went yesterday to the NMLC in Milpitas. They have small MPs in 3 different shades of green for $610.

Well, at the 2 diff. NMLC's I went to this weekend, one had their new stuff out already and the other was doing a pre-sale for them. Also, I believe they're both expecting more by the time the actual event starts.

Based on what I saw at those 2 stores and at their pre-sale, the bags are very different from Melly's fabulous finds. They're mostly Spring '06 bags in styles like the hobos and MP's. My SA does think there might be Elises coming but he wasn't sure.
