Thanks for posting. Do you know if the customer can combine items to reach the next tier? What about combining items from other departments? E.g. Getting a $900 bag + $150 pair of shoes to get $250 off the whole shebang? Thanks again!

You can definitely combine items to reach the next tier. It breaks it up funny in your cart and shows you how much you got off each item for a total of whatever the whole order earned. HTH!

Here's an update for how the deal worked out for me. I called my Nordstrom SA to see what they would do in the way of matching. I got a MJ bag (that will remain a surprise for now), plus a pair of Tory Burch flip flops (to push me up to the next tier). She is going to send me a $250.00 gift card.

She said that she called Bloomingdales and they told her that the reward was presented as a gift card and not a discount off the current purchase. I would have preferred the discount, BUT I'm not about to complain about the deal I did get.

Just wanted to share. I have nothing against Bloomingdales, I just prefer to use Nordstrom b/c of my relationship w/some of the SAs and b/c it's easier on my budget to accumulate rewards points at only one dept. store.
