^Agree with you, but this is the Marc Jacobs forum, not the Michael Jackson forum?
Just making sure you weren't confused by the "MJ chat thread" title :)

thanks for the input worm.

i need more art in my house.... we haven't really hung up any artwork or photos since we moved in. i've been wanting to hang up some of our wedding photos, but i've been putting off finding plexiglass to frame them in.... i want to do the floating picture technique that i saw on hgtv.

ugh, i woke up early because my stomach is sort of killing me. damn that peking duck i had last night!

the artwork i'm considering are oil and canvas paintings by margaret morrison. she had an amazing exhibit at a local art gallery a couple of months ago. i love them so much because they're big, bright paintings of...CANDY. here are the ones i mulling over:

they're so fun. it makes me happy just looking at them. i think they'll be a nice complement to all the vintage movie posters my bf collects.

i'm a fan of mj's music too. my favorite is "the way you make me feel." "beat it" is also pretty damn catchy.

Sorry your tummy hurts, Tad. Mondays are hard enough as it is!

I've been up since 3:30 and didn't fall asleep until almost midnight. Sure wish I could figure this sleep thing out...*yawn*

I love looking at art but I have a hard time committing to something I know I'll be looking at every day for a very long time, KWIM? We have a very cool metal piece in our entryway that I just love, but most of the artwork we have up is stuff I've painted. Other than that we mostly have things like mirrors and sconces taking up wall space, except for one painting we bought as newlyweds.
I had a very cool experience at a dinner party a few years ago: we walked into this living room and there was the most amazing, massive painting on the wall. I tracked down the hostess to ask who the artist was, which I've never done before but I just loved it so much, and it turned out to be a guy I sat next to in junior high art class! Small world, huh?

ooh--I love that art tad! Get them all!

The only art I have hanging right now is this http://media.photobucket.com/image/s...t/100_2202.jpg

I feel like we can all learn a lot from that pig. Oh, and a painting of Penny that was done by a local artist as a gift to us (friend of bf)

Sarah, that pig reminds me of Toot & Puddle from the childrens books - LOVE!!

Tad, those pics are so fun and whimsical - I think if something is going to make you smile whenever you look at it, you should definitely go for it! And no, I didn't buy any of his paintings...yet.

it IS kind of like toot and puddle huh? They're so cute. It's by this artist named Michael Sowa who does all kinds of weird animal and food paintings that are bizzare and funny.
