hey girls!!! hows everyone doing today?

I have a batch of carrot cake cupcakes in the oven, and my next batch is going to be lemon coconut. I was told point blank by my cousin that I had to show up at his house with 2 doz carrot cake cupcakes... the lemon coconut are for my other cousin's wife, who is 8 months pregnant, and her birthday is monday.

Meanwhile... I should really be packing. 28 days till the move, oy!

i just got back from a pedicure. i don't enjoy them all that much. i hate waiting for polish to dry, but i always love how my feet look afterwards.

GB, you are the baking-est gal I know! You're friends and relatives are so lucky!!

I'm waiting on DH to get home from a golf tournament...hit farmer's market and went out to brunch this morning...so far nothing holiday-ish. Later tonight I'll work on controlling homicidal impulses directed at rude neighbors who insist on setting off the loudest possible fireworks (which are illegal in town, BTW) until all hours of the morning, assuring a completely crappy night's sleep for me and my kiddos. Ah, Independence Day...

PM, I'm with you, I'm a nervous nelly about pedicures. I love the pampering, but I'm a complete control freak about the entire process. I esp hate when they want to do your mani before the pedi... that just irks me.

PM, the baking keeps me out of trouble I swear... keeps me off ebay looking for bags too lol

kmr, I must admit, I never was a fan of carrot cake until I found this particular recipe that everyone loves... wish I could transport some of these over to you hehe

^^ Wow, really? I thought fireworks were illegal in the whole US? Unless I'm wrong. You should call the police. Or the po-po as we like to call them on the MJ chat forum. It makes them sound so much more friendly. Doesn't it?

Pure, unfortunately the laws regarding firewords are determined on a city by city basis as far as I know. Mine voted two years ago to ban anything but the more harmless, minor league kinds within city limits. I wish people would just go out to the country to blow their $hit up!! I grew up way out in the country so I still have issues with other peoples' noise invading my private space. I called the po-po (LOL) last year when it was 1am and I was up rocking my infant b/c she couldn't sleep with the noise. I don't know that they actually did anything, though. I'm sure they're flooded with calls. Sorry to rant!

The babe had a horrible time sleeping last night b/c of the lovely house of teenagers across the street that seemed to have been left on their own for the summer...I feel your pain PM!!!!

Jun post pics ASAP of that huge hillier...I was seriously eyeing it on the Barney's site
but I have to check out the 2 things Im anxiously awaiting first.
