Would this only be available to new purses at the time of purchase in the store? Or could you purchase the service on a pre-owned or older style purse as well?

However, I still think there should be a free of charge warranty period for all new purchases.

ITA ! It would be ideal for the free 18 month warranty to say in place, while still offering the lifetime warranty(with fee) for all older items.
