Hey guys,
Recently bought a new pair of Armani Express jeans, which were indigo dyed. I obediently washed them a couple of times (3) before wearing them with anything, but they still managed to dye my legs (?!) and my white Marc by Marc with a blue stain! ![]() Is there any way I can get this off? It's driving me mad as this is my favourite bag, and definitely don't want it ruined! Thanks in advance! Em. |

it is very difficult to remove color transfer (especially from blue jeans) from leather handbags (especially when they're white). You can try some Apple cleaner/conditioner to see if that might work. There's another product called Cadillac that Nordstroms sells thats very good. Depending on how deep the color penetrates and how soon after you attempt to clean it, will determine whether or not the color can be removed.
If cleaning the bag with either of those products doesn't work, the only thing I can think of would be have the bag re-dyed (or if you're comfortable with it, you can try a little bit of white shoe polish) I know that this has been discussed before, but unfortunately with the search down we can't find them right now -- hopefully that will be back very soon, as you can find the previous threads on this topic Good Luck! |

I've been able to successfully remove denim dye transfer from my Light French Grey Teri by using Cadillac (you can find it at Nordstrom for about $6), but you have to clean it right away!

worse comes to worst, you can always have it professionally cleaned.

Thanks so much you guys! I live in Britain, but I'll see if I can ship some over from the States. I didn't want to post another thread, but with the search down it became very frustrating.
Thanks so much for your help! |

I've never tried cleaning color transfer off of leather, but I hear that the best way to get rid of it (or diminish its appearance) is to just have it professionally cleaned. I hope you solve this dilemma!

Thanks guys!
I think I might look into getting it professionally cleaned, as it will take a couple of weeks (!!) for the stuff to arrive in the Uk -- the stain's been there long enough as it is! |
