Default Faridah Owner Opinions
I recently purchased a beautiful Faridah bag. I love the color, and when trying it on in the store I thought it was super comfortable.

However, after using it, I feel that when I put more than just my wallet and keys in the bag it is a bit on the heavy side...... and the strap hurts my shoulder.

Normally I wear shorter straps, could that be the reason? The bag also seems to hit at my hip and kinda sits funny. Any other petite ladies have that problem?

I love the bag, but I'm finding it can be a little uncomfortable.......

Hi Smiles 1003, I recently purchased a Totally Turnlock Faridah hobo in chocolate, and when I have a few items in it, it doesn't seem to be a problem. The leather is much lighter and softer that the previous Faridahs with the pebbled leather. But when I put a fair amount of stuff in the bag, it is kinda heavy on the shoulder because the strap is narrow and thin. I find that I have to keep my arm down alongside the hobo to keep it from falling of the shoulder. I am 5'3" but it doesn't look disproportionate to me. I would say if it is uncomfortable to you, you should return it if possible. Do you have the newer Faridah with the thinner leather or the pebbled leather? I think those bags weigh a lot more.

I do have the older pebbled leather. I absolutely love the texture, but I know it is heavier than the newer, lighter leather.

I'm five foot two inches tall so I am about your height, I appreciate your input on the proportion, I am used to wearing bags that hit above the hip, so this is a totally different style for me.

But everyone always told me how comfy the faridah is, I was a little surprised with experience.....

Same here- I found it heavy to carry around even though everybody said it was a comfy bag.

I own several Faridahs and find them all very comfortable. I'm a shorty at 5'1" and like the way the Faridah hangs on me. The strap is very wide compared to a lot of other bags I own and the wider the strap, IMO, means the more comfortable the bag. It is one of my "go to" bags because I can carry it for the day and not ever really think about it. Sorry to hear that you aren't totally in love with yours.

I am 5'2' and have a pebbled leather faridah. I stuff it with TONS of crap and yes, it's heavy, but it's def.one of my fave bags. I will agree that the first few times i wore it, it was a bit heavy and my shoulder did feel it. But the bag itself if comfortable and now that i'm used to it, the weight doesn't bother me at all! Sorry you're not lovin yours :(
