Default difference between twisted q groovee and baby?
Hi everyone, so this is going to be my second MbMJ and I'm very excited, but am not sure whether or not to order the twisted q groovee regular size or baby. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the differences in size, I'd just like to know about how much the difference is. Since I live in a random town in Alabama, it's hard to get to places where I can see the bags in person, so I have to order online.

Also, I have a second dilemma, I'm between one of the twisted q groovee's and the MbMJ classic huge hiller, both in black, I really want a black bag but am completely in love with both bags.
Advice/ opinions, anything at all is welcome

thank you all very much

The difference between the two Groovees is pretty significant, IMO. I used to own a Groovee, and it was too big and bulky for me. And when I tried on the baby version, I thought it was too small. If it helps, I generally prefer smaller bags.

I think you should get both! Even if you can't get both now, I think they're different enough to warrant double purchases. The twisted Groovees are more of a fun, light-hearted style, while the Hillier is more casual yet dressy.

The baby Groovee is very small. It's 12in x 6in x 4 in, I believe. It would realistically hold a zip clutch, sunglasses case, cell, keys, and maybe a very small pouch. It would be a tight fit. I would probably go with the regular sized Groovee if you tend to carry more items.

I love the huge hiller because of its shape and it is one of the popular MBMJ styles. I think it would be more versatile than the Twisted Groovee. Really, I think that it depends on your style. If you could, order both bags to see how they look on you.

Good luck on your choice!

Btw, I used to live very close to Decatur!

blackonmaroon, I understand what you mean about the difference between the hillier and groovees, and the hillier being more versatile. I really want a classic bag, but at the same time, I want something fun and different then my classic Q hatty. I'm terrible at making decisions, this is gonna be hard, ordering both is a good idea and I might try. shoppingislove, thanks for the groovees description, I'm thinking the small would almost be TOO small for me as well.
You did? where? ahah, I just moved after having lived all over alabama, but I was born here.

does the hillier have a lot of left over room and feel baggy and awkward on the shoulder? if I get the huge that is
thanks

I had actually ordered the Baby Twisted Q Groovee online and right away upon opening the box, I thought it was really small. For reference, I am 5'2 and I still thought it was really small. I immediately returned it and paid the 200 something odd dollar difference and got the regular Twisted Groovee and love it. The size is perfect. It is a bit slouchy but it makes the bag look more relaxed. One time, I had to put a shirt and a pair of jeans and I still had ample room. Hope this helps.

Thanks moofuzzled, I was worried about the size of the small, because the pics online don't look like they're that much different, but by what tPFers are saying there is a big difference, I def don't wanna have to send it back so If i decide to get the twisted groovee its not gonna be the baby. I'm 5"6, so I might not like the smallness, I've always liked big bags a lot more. I have too much to put in them, thanks :)

Last time I tried on a Hillier, it was comfortable on the shoulder and not bulky at all (but I don't carry much with me). I hope that helps. It seems that you have your heart on the Groovee, so try the Groovee first.

I used to live in Madison.
