i have the exact same cosmetics case in blue! i carry that along with my zc and mj aviators in my mika too. whoa. it's like i've finally met my bag doppleganger. i hope we don't cross paths irl otherwise we both might combust!

I guess what I find surprising is that the Colorblock Hobo, which is about 2.5x the size of the Mika is actually LESS $$ that the Mika is -- I mean, I know that Mika has that gorgeous leather lining (and pink yet!!), but I still can't justify that much money for that bag -- I mean I totally LOVE it, but just can't shell out that kind of cash (I'd have to sacrifice lots of other bags which I'd want more) -- it's just too bad that it's a boutique exclusive and isn't available anywhere where there's the likelihood that it would be marked down -- unless you know someone who works for MJ, there's no way you could get that bag for less than $1800+ (that's why I'm holding out for ebay!!)

iluvmybagsm don't give up just yet, marc jacobs has sales on boutique exclusive bags, i'd call every season and try to see if they're having a sale, sometimes they did, i almost bought one bag for 350$ last year, it was like 70% off....

But does anyone know what colors the pochette comes in? Does it come in the same colors as the mika?

^ yes, all the same colors, so white, taupe, black, salmon, lilac, lemon, and apricot are the ones that i can think of atm.

they will occassionally have sales, but it's for only a very select few styles. the ostrich and some of the stones bags were marked down 50% at the beginning of the year, but they were the more unpopular styles. i really really wanted the stones clutch, unfortunately, it wasn't included in the sale. otherwise, the boutiques prefer to store away old bags at their warehouse rather than slash prices. they're much more generous when it comes to clearing out the clothes and shoes.

Oh man. I need these bags.

Some UK department stores carry the Mika, our summer sales don't usually start until mid to late June,HN def carried this style - not on their website but in store. Perhaps give them a call nearer the sales. GL :)

IF it helps......as mentioned, the Mika IS indeed absolutely stunning/gorgeous, etc. BUT with all of it's hardware (and top notch hardware at that) it is a heavy bag. I was quite stunned at how heavy it is.
For my limited budget, I purchased the hand held pouchette (w/o the strap) and am quite thrilled to have it.
When my SA at NM called around the country to find me one in Taupe, she mentioned that there were very few around the country. So - I would nab one when U can.
