Hey everyone just wondering if I can vent here... So I have been moonlighting on the Marc Jacobs forum but u girls over here always answer me better... So anyways I ordered a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag from Bloomingdales cuz I really wanted an all leather bag and Louie leather was out of my price range... The bag still cost around $550... It's the Huge Hillier HoBo and I'm so upset cuz it was mailed UPS scheduled for delivery tomorrow even though it was in my borough this morning at 7:15am.. So I just checked the status and it says transferred to the post office, WTH would they transfer a $500 bag to the post office????? I don't feel comfortable at all with that because it doesn't even say signature required.. And everyday I always have another postman ever since my regular postman left... So anyways just wanted to vent my frustration and see if anyone else went thru a similar situation with a Louie or another designer bag.... Thanks for listening!!! : )

I have not had that done with a bag but with clothing where it originally goes out ups and the I will check and it's at the post office. I think Piperlime and Nordys used to do it, not sure if they still do. There must be some sort of cost savings otherwise why involve more hands than you need to, right? But I cannot see how they are saving $$ that way. When I order online from LV I upgrade shipping to FedEx 2 day.. When you log into your LV account , you can get the tracking number. That way I can request to have to have it held at the station to pick up or delivered with a signature. Where did u order the purse from?

I'm just sorry to see that the LV girls answer you better than we MJ girls.
We're usually a pretty helpful bunch.
Maybe it's just because there are more members over there.

Yeah they must def save money.. Funny thing is USPS dropped my package off at 8:30 this morning if it was ups I probably still wouldn't have it.. But for some reason I just trust ups and fed ex more...

Since you offered to chat and I cannot do my own thread yet, I have a few LV bags and SLG but the MJ purses are really catching my eye. I know here has been some discussion on the declining workmanship/quality on LVs.... How are MJ purses? D they last a long time? I am looking for some input before purchasing one....thx!!!

Well, any opinion I give will be totally one-sided. I absolutely adore MJ bags. My oldest MJ is 2008, and the newer ones and the older ones seem just the same to me.
I am talking MJ and not MbyMJ, though. I think some have commented on quality of MbMJ changing a little.

Anyway, I can respect and appreciate the LV bags, but they are so different than MJ. Total different vibe.

At least where I live, anyway, I rarely see MJ bags on anyone. I feel unique and special.
I live in Coach and LV-ville. They are everywhere. Nice and pretty, but I would rather be a little unique.

Love the styling on them...I don't think I have seen one in person but I am always willing to try new designers. I live in mainly Coach-ville too, not too many LV'S and I really like Coach purses but since everyone carries them it's so saturated now... I want to carry something that is unique and not something you are going to see everywhere! I may have to try one out!

I can't offer to much input yet as this is my first MBMJ.. Bag.. I have two Louie's a Neverful and an Eva Clutch... To me they hold up pretty well.. The Neverful I kinda wish I didn't get I mean I love it but it's more of a status symbol to me I think and the one I could afford but it's to big and awkward in a weird way.. Lol... That was my first designer bag.. So after i got over the paranoia of using it .. Its ok now i guess when i need to carry a lot of stuff... The Eva clutch I love it's so versatile and I use it a lot because I love it cross body.. But..... My real love is leather bags and right now if I'm going to pay a substantial amount of money for a bag I want an ALL leather bag! And I just love MBMJ's leather and liner it such a pop when u open the bag... Awesome... I think u will really love his bags... I also like the Lil Ukita as well I will be saving for that!! ; ) ... I just also got a Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac... I have to admit I was a little disappointed.. I though the cross body strap was wayyyy to short compared to my LV Eva clutch and the chains get annoying after awhile.. N the red I ordered turned out to be coral.. The leather is not as soft as MJ.. It's a nice bag but one I def wish I tried on in the store first... I may try to carry this cross body but I have a very large chest so I'm not sure it really looks ok? Same thing with the Rebecca Minkoff.. The LV Eva is awesome cross body.. Anyways sorry to go on and on I Love talking bags!!? Yay!!! What LV's do u have? I think u should def get a MJ.. U will love it!
