Default Calling TPF that have sent bags to Diego for repair?
I finally got contact with Diego and he gave me the SRO # to send in my zip bowler. This is my first time to send in anything for repair. I'm so nervous. Should I ship it insured, with tracking number. Please give me feedback. This is one of my HG bag, i am nervous parting with it.
thanks

Yes and yes....Don't worry, your bowler is in good hands with Diego. Make sure you tell him EXACTLY what you need done - because they will only fix the area(s) that you point out. What are you doing to your bowler?

I sent my bag usps priority with sig & ins. Diego took really great care of it. He's an incredibly nice guy. Your bag will be there awhile, probably longer than norm because of the holidays coming up. Bu it will come back fixed and clean and fed ex!

Diego is awesome. Although, no, they didn't tell me that they received it, my tracking provided that information. However, Diego did call AND email me to tell me what they could and could not fix. Then, they also emailed when shipping with the tracking information :)

I'm sure everything will be fine!

Don't worry, it will be in great hands!
I would definitely insure and use tracking.

this may be a dumb question, but does diego do any sort of refurbishment? I ask becuase the handles of my trish have darkened from use and I would love to see them restored to their original condition. Probably very wishful thinking!

There is a warranty with MJ and I sent a bag I had for years. Diego took care of it. He eMailed me back with what he did and the warranty specifications. I offered to pay for the repairs. You should try.

I just shipped my bag to Diego the day before Thanksgiving - I received it back this week. It's clean, new dustbag and better than ever!! Mine was a simple repair, but I was shocked how fast it came back. AND Diego emailed me before they shipped it out, and after, to provide me with the details!

Oh, I shipped it USPS, with insurance and sig. confirmation....

^^ you got lucky. I've had to follow up with Repairs after a few weeks had gone by b/c I guess at the time Diego was out on vacation. From what I recall, I then received my bag back another week or two later, but no follow up email to say they were going to ship it back.

anteater, you will be fine. I've sent two bags to Repairs (without tracking or insurance!!) after obtaining the SRO and my babies came back better than before

I sent in my Faridah in the early fall(USPS priority with insurance and tracking). It only took a week and half to get it back. Diego even called me to tell me it was done and that he was fedexing it back to me. I got it the next day, good as new in a snuggly new dust bag.

I haven't sent any bags for repair but based on everyone's great experience with Diego, I'm sure you're in good hands!

Ladies who have used Diego: What can he do vs. not do? For example, can hardware be returned to it's former unscratched glory? How would a tear in the suede lining be fixed? Can zipper pulls be replaced? Stuff like that. Thanks for any input...
