Hi MJ experts,

Just got this MbMJ Busy bag, and I'm loving it! So stunning! It's from a local online shop, so there's no link. She's known to sell authentic items, but of course, as always, I want the reassurance from you tPF'ers!

To be honest, I am a little unsure about this one. I have never seen this style before in the "Puckered" line, unless it was a boutique exclusive.

I've never heard of a "Busy Bag" either. The Puckered line is from Spring 09 and that being said I think the hardware is a little off.

I don't want to give a final vedict yet - perhaps someone else has seen this bag in MbMJ stores?

Would you also be able to post a photo of the side of the zipperpulls and a overall shot of the lining?

I would think more pics might be needed to tho to confirm, but it looks pretty close

According to the seller, this style is not yet sold for public yet, but I have checked on MJ's website and there's this style of bag. It's from Fall '09 collections. Here's the link:

The color does look a bit different, but I can't find any other website that sells this style yet, so I really don't know if it'll come in several colors.

The thing is, this seller has a lot of MbMJ bags for sale, and the people on my local bag forum say they're authentic. I don't know where she got them from (she sells mostly new MbMJ bags, but sometimes missing a tag, strap or the dust bag, etc), but I do know that there's a MbMJ factory somewhere in Indonesia because the older MbMJ bags, like Faridah used to have "made in Indonesia" tag.

My theory is that she has an inside channel from the factory. She did once mention that she got them from the factory, so I can't pick and order certain style, because she gets what she can get.

The only thing that's off to me is the size. The website says it's 17" x 11", but I measured mine it's only 12 by 11".

I asked her and she said she heard that there will be bigger size coming out from the factory but she doesn't have it yet. I have bought from the seller before, but it was a pre-owned Chloe and it's authentic. This is my first MbMJ purchase from her.

I don't really understand what you mean with a photo of the side of the zipperpulls? Is it like the back, like if it has Riri/Lampo zipper?

Ok, I just checked the side of the zipper pull, it says YKK on that "busy" bag.

On the subject of MbMJ bag, I just received my Turnlock hobo a couple of days ago. It has also been authenticated by Telicious, thanks dear!

It's gorgeous IRL, the leather is also very soft. But the MJ signature lining looks a bit nasty. On the listing, I thought it was just dirty, because it looked more "dirty white", but when I received it, it was more yellowish. I thought it was dirt, but it's so even.

My question is, does the turnlock hobo have that kind of yellowish MJ lining instead of the usual black and white? Here are the pics:

I think what telicious meant by the "side of the zipperpull" is a pic that shows how thick it is.

when I first saw the pics you posted, I remembered seeing a bag like this as part of the new F/W season -- the chain is what I remembered most. (I remembered thinking that MbyMJ was starting to look more like collection bags by adding these chain straps). The problem is that since this bag is so new (and MbyMJ stores don't even have them yet), that none of us have seen them, so it might a little bit harder to authenticate it, since we have nothing to compare it to.

That said, since it is such a new style, chances are good that it is authentic, altho just because a style is new & not yet out doesn't mean the fakers haven't gotten their hands on it yet.

Does this shop/store have a reasonable return period? My best suggestion would be to be patient while we wait for these bags to start showing up in stores. Once someone can see one IRL, we'll have a better idea of how this bag should look -- what the lining should be, how the hardware looks, etc -- and you can compare it at that time. If it winds up that its not authentic, could you return it at a later date?

My gut wants to say it's real, but I can't say that with any amount of certainty. Not until I've at least seen one in person either at the MbyMJ store or one of the dept stores.

Maybe someone else has already seen this style and they might be able to help you further. It's a really pretty bag and I'm hoping that it's real!!

I didn't even check the MJ website, which I guess I should have. The HW looks consistent with that of Fall 09 bags, so that's a good sign.

That is interesting how these people manage to get bags that aren't even released yet! I agree with iluvmybags, because none of us have really seen the bag IRL or being sold on an online retailer, it's hard to say whether or not it is authentic. However, the bag being on the MJ website is a good sign, and as I mentioned earlier, the HW looks consistent with that of Fall bags.

Yup, what I meant by "side of zipperpull" is the YKK.

The Firebird bags had the mixed letters lining, however from my recollection, I think it was slightly off-colored (not purely white), so I wouldn't worry
